Nexxus Polymedic Emergency Reconstructor 6oz (Pack of 2)

I don't normally write reviews, but I wanted to write one for this product for 2 reasons. 1) it's incredible at doing what it says it will do, and 2) THIS IS NOT A CONDITIONER. Many of the negative reviews for this product are from people who misunderstood the difference between a conditioner and a protein mask. For those still struggling, here is how you use it:1) Wash your hair. Shampoo. ONLY shampoo. Rinse out the shampoo and wring out as much excess water as possible.2) Apply the Nexxus Emergency Reconstructor protein mask LIBERALLY. Seriously, drench your hair, root to tip, with this stuff. The consistency is more of a gel or jelly so it will be slippery!3) Leave it in for at least 30 minutes. Put on a shower cap, plastic grocery bag, whatever, and wait. Sometimes I use this time to paint my nails, swap out the laundry, watch an episode of Rick and Morty, you get the point. You might even forget that it's in your hair and accidentally leave it in for 1.5 hours because you got distracted with Netflix. It happens. It's fine.4) Get back in the shower. Shampoo and condition (with actual conditioner, not the Nexxus Emergency Reconstructor ... REMEMBER. THIS IS NOT A CONDITIONER!).5) Receive 1,000 compliments from everyone in your life because your hair will be shiny and bouncy all over the place for about a month. Repeat the process next month.6) Did I mention this isn't a conditioner!!!It softens, smoothes, detangles, etc. It will truly change the texture of your hair. My hair is bleached and it has been for 5 years but you absolutely cannot tell. ALL because of this product.

This product is the best I have ever used on my dried out frizzy colored hair. I apply after my hair is wet after shampooing and then typically leave on my hair for a couple of hours. Then I rinse and follow with my usual conditioner. I have found that the breakage is now minimal. I do wish I would have known about this product years ago. If I run out and not use, I can definitely tell by the condition of my hair.I have tried nearly every product available including expensive salon products and nothing has ever worked this well. Coupled with a large dosage of biotin daily has been extremely beneficial. My hair is longer than it has ever been! I try to never go without a good supply of the Nexxus Polymedic product!

Works great but make sure to follow directions. It says to apply to clean hair, leave on 10 minutes, wash and condition. I followed the instructions the first time with great results. The second time I didn't shampoo after, only before. It left my hair feeling very heavy. So be sure to shampoo before and after and then condition. It's not a conditioner. It's a treatment. I've totally switched to Nexxus products. After years of coloring abuse, my hair breaks and frizzes. This stuff makes my hair healthier and softer. And I've tried many other products before this.

My friend recommend this to me and it was the best thing I bought for my hair on a very long time.. I have very very dry curly hair and I put this on my hair like a gel (a little goes a long way) and it make my hair look amazing for the next few days.. To reactivate my hair the next day I just spray my hair with water and out the door.

I have fine, limp, curly hair that is a real challenge. Although the instructions say it's for damaged and color stressed hair, that didn't apply to me. Still it made a huge difference. The first time I used it, I got 3 compliments and I could really see the difference. Makes my hair shiny and fuller. The best conditioner I've ever had. Highly recomment it.

Best stuff ever! Not exaggerating. The smell isn't the best and the price tag is a bit high. Totally worth it. I went from Courtney Love hair to perfection. Sorry Courtney, cheap shot.
