We gave the iconic Hurricane XLT a fresh comfort upgrade, outfitting it with soft heel-strap padding and a new, modern sole featuring even better traction than before. Teva is an authentic icon in the outdoor industry. Founded in the early 1980's by a Colorado River guide, Teva pioneered the sport-sandal category. For more than 20 years on rivers, in canyons, and across the trails of the great outdoors, athletes and enthusiasts have traveled the globe comfortably and confidently in Teva footwear. Providing positive contributions to the world in which we play is at the core of everything Teva stands for. The Teva name itself is a Hebrew word meaning "nature" and the hand logo is the Hopi symbol for "friendship" and "water." Teva supports the outdoor athletic lifestyle and remains committed to innovation in outdoor performance footwear, the platforms which carry enthusiasts beyond the offices of the day-to-day and onto the rivers, trails, and canyons of the next adventure.

Perfect
Okay - so I've owned many pairs of Tevas - and the Hurricane is my favorite style. The men's were cheaper and had a darker blue color - so I decided to try these to see if they were as good as the women's. THEY ARE BETTER. WTH. The cushioning in the men's is SO MUCH BETTER than the women's - I feel like it's a joke. The straps are better (and longer) and other than being slightly long for my feet...all around better. Teva needs to step up and make the women's like the men's. Because women hike/play too :/

Wrong model! with update
This sandal is not a bad sandal but almost caused my partner, who is not familiar with Teva models to loose his life. I bought these for him in December for a hiking trip. They were very comfortable and I did not check the soles. Instead of the Hurricane XLT 2 we actually received a regular classic Teva sandal. Since he was not familiar with tread patterns he did not realize he was hiking in street sandals and had some severe and dangerous slips in them. Now, since I finally checked and realized the wrong model was sent months ago, amazon is non responsive and will not provide a replacement . Just beware of what you get in the mail.Update, after speaking with them at length, they decided to make an exception and send a replacement model, the exact same size and color but correct model! If you check your merchandise thoroughly when you receive it, and do receive the correct item, it is a great sandal overall. Definitely go down at least 1/2 a size. 1/2 size or loose full size, size down.

Great Quality
I bought these for my son who will be working as a lifeguard at a large waterpark this summer. The quality is great however the sandals ran at least one size too big. He normally wears a size 10.5, so I ordered the 10. The size 10 was way too big so I sent them back for a size 9, which fit perfectly.

DO NOT BUY
I have been wearing Teva Hurricane's for years, I have had at least 12 pairs because they supported a hard to fit foot. Teva has changed the design and it no longer fits the same nor does it provide the support it once had. The sandals look the same BUT do NOT be fooled!! You will pay the same price as before but you will NOT have the support or the comfort they used to provide. I am SO disappointed in the Teva company..... You have LOST MY TRUST, BUSINESS, AND CUSTOMER RECOMMENDATIONS!!!!!

2nd Pair, Worth the Purchase
First let me start by saying I was skeptical. Not necessarily of Tevas, but of sandals in general. It wasn’t until I was on a hike in Hawaii on a mud stricken trail did I see a dad with his daughter strapped to his back in a similar pair to these did I cave in. Now? I’ll never go without owning a pair again. I’d never been in a sandal before, so there was a period of adjustment. Now, these are my go to grab. Comfortable (especially after they break in), supportive (my girlfriend avidly hikes in hers when I am in high end Merrell hiking boots). If you’re on the fence, you won’t regret it, this is my second pair and the color and fit are great.

Break(s) & Blisters
Update 11/10/19: These just suck. The stitching is terrible and keeps break. Blisters galore! Worst sandals I have ever owned.Original: On both sandals the stitching (outside heal side) broke during a hike. And I have never had sandals give me blisters like these. The hard plastic connectors simply rub and rub. These are great for lounging around, boating, day at the lake. But for any real hiking, these things are not trustworthy and will hurt your feet.

Maybe The Best Version Of Teva Hurricane So Far
I've owned a couple pair of Teva Hurricane sandals in the past. Got my first pair over 15 years ago. They were solid black. They fit well and were fairly comfortable. They were pretty durable, but I wore them hard, and they finally started to break down about 5 years ago. I bought a second pair, but they were not as well constructed and didn't feel as comfortable as the originals. They looked and felt "cheaper." I was also disappointed that I couldn't find a pair in solid black. I lost that pair while on vacation in South America last month, so I needed to find a replacement. I was happy to find the new Hurricane XLT2 Sport sandals available in solid black (personal favorite). They feel heavier and more substantial than either of my previous pairs. They are also more comfortable, right out of the box. I like the improved heel strap comfort, the sole and improved traction. The overall workmanship seems better too. I have wide feet. I usually order a 10.5 EE in shoes and boots. After reading reviews that said the sandals ran a little large, I decided to order size 10. They fit perfectly. Time will tell regarding durability.

Awesome Shoe!
These have become my all time favorite shoe. I normally wear a 10.50 wide shoe but had the opportunity to try on some Teva shoes in a local store. With slip on shoes and flip flops that do not come in wide size I normally have to go up to buying an eleven shoe, but with Teva I found out the 10.00 fits me perfect. These sandals are very adjustable to get them just right for you feet. These are my first Teva shoes and after almost seven months I can not believe how comfortable they are and that my feet never feel fatigue. I started off wearing them tight but found out the true comfort is wearing them slightly loose and they will just float along with your feet. I have been very surprised how many strangers have approach me showing me they wear the same shoe and most of them have told me they have owned their Teva shoes 5-10 years and still enjoy them. I have worn these shoe for daily wear, hiking, and my all time favorite water shoe for the beach. I will absolutely being trying more of Teva's products.

Great replacement Tevas
I've been wearing Tevas for 25 years. My last replacement was from Amazon and somehow I managed to buy a cheaper model than I expected. They were okay but not as comfortable and offered no support if wearing for longer walks. These are like the originals. They've got a thick sole which is sufficient for walking comfortably for miles. Being Tevas they're great in and out of water. After carelessly purchasing cheaper and fancy models of Teva sandals in the past I paid careful attention to their range this round and can attest these are closest to the originals which set them apart so long ago. I will always look to have a pair of this model as they are comfortable to wear the entire summer.

Good quality brand at competitive price.
I normally take10/10.5 but needed the 11 in these to be comfortable as 10 seemed too tight. Quality of product could not be faulted however. Delivery was slow compared to replacement order which arrived within a day!

Bought to replace my 25yr old Teva
Perfect. Just what I required. Same style and design as my old Teva from 25 years ago. Only replacing as I have worn out the soles and the velcro loops gave way around ten years ago.Already walked 21 miles in one day on rooty canal paths and disused railway lines. Totally perfect. No rubs, no pain and just the usual covering of road dust you can expect when walking in these. I hope to get another 25 years our of these but let see how long the velcro lasts on the strap over the foot. You have to open this strap to get the foot in.
