COLONIAL PERSIAN YARN"- Needlepoint 3-ply Wool Yarn-Color-CP1220-4-Black

Lot is wrongly described as 6.1 oz of weight. Actually it is only 3.8 oz and the threads are more in thickness that threads of Paternayan Persian wool I purchased on EBAY in 4 oz lot. Those threads are being cut unevenly - some of them - 31 inch long, some 32 inch and some 33. So it is difficult to say about the total lengths. Each strand has various thickness in different parts of every single thread. To use it in 2 ply - too much and does not feet in regular canvas mesh (12) and to use it in 1 ply - not enough. Threads are loosely textured. Come to me without manufacturer label (not like it pictured on Amazon).First I was thinking that it was great price for 6.1 oz Paternayan, when I realized that it was only 3.8 oz - I was thinking that it was in line with other needlepoint yarn of that type. But when I find out about quality of the yarn I got - I realized that it was just lost money for me.

Hard to find Persian yarn anymore! This did the trick for my needlepoint.

I am very pleased. Paternayan yarn has been unavailable for years except places like Ebay. It is so nice to find it again. This is a lot of yarn for the price.
