Great Asparagus Roots
These came quickly and arrived in good condition. They are nice, large two-year roots. I planted them the day they arrived and watered them in. Then it rained for three days and turned cool. I was so worried that they would rot before they got rooted in. But to my surprise, when the sun came out all ten, plus the one extra they sent, shot up. They have been in the ground now for several weeks and have beautiful ferny growth. I am looking so forward to next season when I can harvest a few of them and enjoy nice tender asparagus again. I'm tired of paying a big price at the grocery store and then throwing half away because they are so tough and stringy. Would I order them again??? You betcha!

Large, healthy crowns
These are the best bare root asparagus crowns I have ever purchased. After a sneaky vole ate all my asparagus last year, I tried to find bare root plants locally. With the "I've never gardened before, but now I am going to do it because of possible Covid-related food shortages" craziness at my local nurseries, there was not an asparagus crown in my county. (To maintain full disclosure, I live in a semi-rural area with only four nurseries.) The reviews of the product varied a lot, but I went ahead and took a chance. I scored! The crowns were extra large with very healthy root systems. Four months after purchase, they are thriving. Every one has grown quickly with lush foliage. I highly recommend them.

Not much Luck
I ordered these asparagus plants back in April to add to some other asparagus plants that I had. I followed the directions on how to plant the roots. A month later, I have had only one root sprout out of 10. I’m hoping for more, but I’m losing hope.

7 out of 10 made it, pretty good
I wanted to start asparagus in my little garden, and found this set of 10 was the right size for me. The price was very reasonable. I looked up internet and prepared the garden, and planted the roots we received. 9 out of 10 sprouted some shoots. At the end of summer, I see 7 survived and have grown well. It seems it is a mix of male and female. Though it would have been nice to see all 10 to make it, I am happy with the 7 that are making it. Looking forward to harvesting fresh asparagus next spring. The instruction that came along said you can harvest for a week in the next year, and then for 2 months in the following year.

Must have been dead
Only two of the roots have sprouted and even those only have one live sprig. After being in the ground this long with no sign of life very likely the rest are dead and will not grow. Quite disappointing.

Good quality
The seller is very informative and tell me ahead of time the best time to plant in my zone 7 and ship it around that time for me to receive in around 3/15. After I received I planted right away in the ground. Now all 10 started coming out and few grow really good and one of the tallest one is about 1 feet now. Few just started coming out of ground. This about 5 weeks so far. Looking good and can’t wait to harvest them!

Delivered in great condition!
Very pleased with these crowns. They came in good shape and look very healthy. They weren't all dried out like others have received from other shippers. They were only shipped in a bubble wrap envelope.
