A worthy treatment
Unless you are buying for the younger-aged fan or a die-hard collection completer, don't worry yourself with throwing money at the similar-looking figures by Jakks Pacific. Minor quibbles aside (probably unique to my figure, easily fixed with a dab of Elmers glue), this is the NB to own. Gorgeous paintwork and attention to detail. Lightwork is icing on the cake. The articulation is all I expected, and just enough more to be pleasantly surprised. ThreeA's "Real Steel" line is the only work I've seen that has done these bots' designs any sort of justice. As the latest (and possibly last) work by Ashley Wood for this particular license, I don't know if we'll see anything better come along for RS fans, short of undisputed confirmation of a sequel being greenlit. Grab one while you can.
