Took a couple of minutes, but it works brilliantly. The only thing I dislike has nothing to do with the device and everything to do with DRM protection of files I own, and have no plans to distribute illegally. I initially bought this for a road-trip and to provide my family with more secure internet browsing when logged into the hotel’s WiFi. Once you’ve mastered connecting the device to various WiFi sources, it’s a breeze and keeps your devices secure. And, for those videos I own WITHOUT DRM protection, the kids can stream them or the music I saved onto a Micro SD card - no problem.I really like the device and my next purchase will be software to remove DRM copy protection from files I own so my kids and wife will have access to more entertainment in the car on long road trips - so much easier than the gamble of “is the cell reception sufficient in middle America?” We have come across so many locations where our phones read “No Service” and we see no one for miles - in those instances, this provides an uninterrupted stream of data to your device and you can watch your movies uninterrupted (unless your kids are like mine — “Quit it.” “I’m not touching you, I’m not touching you, I’m not touching you...” “Mom!! His blanket touched my side!”).

Originally bought the AC750 newest model but had nothing but problems. Returned and tried another brand and it was even worse. Figured I would get this model and try one last time and it works perfect. Little slow but works pretty like its supposed to.

This is an initial review of the RAVPower FileHub Plus. I have only had it for one day. I needed a device to view photos from SD cards taken from my cameras that I do not want to place on an Apple iPad. I was using a SD card reader that connected to an Apple device via a lightening connector. The lightning connector on this device would not properly work with all Apple devices that use the lightning connector. I also needed a device that would work with my new iPad Pro 11 which has a USB-C connector. I purchased this device to replace the present SD card reader that connected with an Apple lightning connector. I opened the box containing the RAVPower FileHub Plus and checked the battery status. It was better than 75% so I inserted a SD card that had Word, Excel, PDF, photos, and videos files on it. I turned on the RAVPower FileHub Plus and then turned on my iPad pro and downloaded the FileHub Plus app onto the iPad. After it downloaded I switched the WiFi on the iPad to the RAVPower FileHub Plus. I opened the FileHub Plus app and I could immediately see and view all the file types on the SD card. This fulfilled my purpose for buying the RAVPower FileHub Plus. Since I travel, I like to carry various files on SD cards and flash drives (USB-A Thumb Drives) and I also take a lot of pictures that I want to view without downloading them to my iPad. This device works great for this because it reads SD cards and flash drives great. The only thing that I presently see negative with the device is that the instructions states to use an USB charger that will not charge above 1 amp so it will not damage the device. Since most of my chargers are rated at two amps I had to find one rated at one amp. This is just a slight inconvenience. I also would like to note that this device works with the FileBrowser and FileExployer apps that can be downloaded from the Apple app store. I may test out and use the other features of this device later but it does what I bought it for. As long as I periodically charge it I foresee it lasting a long time.

The user interface is out of date and you can not use this with any wireless networks that use a web page login to share the wireless account. The only reason we bought it was we thought we would be able to share the cruise line wireless account with multiple devices via this device because that is what its advertised as being good for.*****update....the company tried to buy my review. Wanted to give me upgrades , reimburse me, give me a different device, etc if I would take this negative review down. Informed them none of that would benefit me if they hadn’t rewritten the software to be able to login to wireless networks like cruise ships, etc. they wanted me to test it at a KFC. I wouldn’t be using this to share a kfc network since those are FREE.

Works well and does what it's supposed to. I use it as a range extender and it works well. Plus, for 3800 bucks, being able to backup to an external drive/access files on an external drive without the hassle of a laptop is awesome.Only thing is that it seems it can read only 1 connected USB device at a time. I tried connecting multiple hard drives via a usb hub and it could not detect. The same setup works on my laptop. So -1 star for that, as I would have loved to use it as a cheap NAS as well

Yes the product is useful. I had tried this by connecting external hard disc, pen drives, SD card and LAN cable. It works good on all of these. The unit also takes the signals from wireless modems and transmits, which then can be accessed.Being , may the first to purchase, I had paid a hefty sum for this amounting to Rs 11, 950, which is now available at almost one fourth that price, even after the rupee had gone up against the US dollar !!!. Cheating ? I am not sure.

When i purchased ipad using external devices likes pen drives and HDD seemed impossible, So i went through all the online product to resolve this issue and I found it in th form of rav power. It is working really well. Easy file transfering but some videos are unplayable in the filehubplus app. The only thing disappointed me that its usb and WAN cover broken in the early usages.
