Put a bird on it!
I purchased the Aviary Citrine King Duvet and also purchased the Standard Shams and Euro Shams separately.Pros:- Looks exactly like the picture, no surprises.- 200 thread count feels surprisingly nice: a crisp, cool percale. The finish on the fabric feels well-done and I don't expect this to pill.- slightly oversized for exceptionally fluffy insertsCons:- This pattern is really "busy" in person. Without another large pattern or solid color to contrast it with, it is a little hard on the eyes.- Pricy for its lack of amenities. I usually buy duvets from Anthropologie and was interested in Dwellstudio's quality. If I were to pay the full $200 for this duvet, it would probably not be worth it. For example, at $200, I usually expect 300 thread count and interior ties to hold the duvet. This duvet does not have either of those things, so I think you're paying for the design or the profit margin.Notes:- Mixes and matches well with other Dwell citrine (yellow), smoke (gray), and admiral (navy blue) colors, and looks good with the Bella Notte pattern.- The "white" background is more "creamy white." It is not stark white nor ivory. No gray or blue overtones.- No flange; same fabric on both sides; bottom-button closure; made in Portugal; 100% combed Egyptian cotton; machine wash warm. Conclusion: it is a very crisp and cleanly designed duvet and I would buy it again if the price was well below $100, with the understanding that it requires other coordinating pieces to make it look good. That may get expensive.
