I finally feel like a real man

I try not to write a review, especially shoes, when they are brand new. Usually about after a month, but I've waited to do a review on these after having them for at least 3 months. It's a good thing. This is why.1. When I bought these on sale, I knew they were gonna be a little large because the ones that were my actual size were 60 dollars more! Anyway they didnt look like the picture. They were a little too large. They were terribly uncomfortable. They were not waterproof. The soles looked like they would be more suited on a pair of Sanuks. I had no faith. I would have given them 1 star.2. After changing the insoles out for some Dr. Scholl's insoles( They were nothing fancy by any means.), it was a night and day difference in the comfort. I was still concerned about the soles and just the overall look. 2 stars after the second month.3. I decided to put some mink oil on them to see if that would make them more water repellent. Well that actually did two things. They were almost waterproof, and it gave the shoes a nicer, more worn look. It also even helped with the comfort level even more. The only concern I still had was if the soles would hold up. 3 stars after 3 months.4. Its been well over 3 months now and it seems like these shoes get more comfortable everyday. I do landscaping for a living, so when i say i "wear" my shoes, I wear them to death. What I cant believe is how the soles have held up. They dont hardly look like I have hardly worn them.So finally my official rating...A rock solid 4 stars. The reason I didnt give them 5 stars is because it took these shoes longer than any other shoes I have ever owned to "get right." With that being said, maybe they'll last longer than my previous shoes!

Appears to be a nice shoe but it feels more like a size 8.5, they're small in both aspects, length and width. I like replacing the inner sole inserts with arch support inserts (size 9 as well) and my inserts won't even fit in these shoes but the inserts fit nicely in any other size 9 shoe I have. I will have to return these due to their small fit.
