I ordered this and when i open the box, there were only 2 pots. I contact the seller and the situation is quickly corrected. I received the two missing pots quickly.I have tried IKEA’s self watering pot and decided I like tomato barrel much better. I can use it outdoor and excessive water will just drain. Ikea’s model do not have drain holes.I use a long neck funnel to help fill the water. I also used the liquid fertilizer (ones you can attach to the hose). My plants are doing well.The new model with the rectangle cage is little challenging. The connectors comes loose very easily.

Just got this in but decided to modify it so that mosquitoes can’t go and lay their eggs in the water reservoir. I got some waterproof tape and a piece of screen, then cut the middle out of the tape section to make a window, put the screen over that and then stuck it on the inside. This will make it harder to add water to the reservoir from the hole but I imagine it will still be fine to water from the top. I’ll try to figure out how to add pics.

Sturdy bucket and great system. My tomato plants seem to love them! Since they were grown mostly inside are used some wood to help keep the plant in place at the bottom.
