BBQ-Toro Dutch oven set in wooden box with Dutch oven and more | Cast iron - pre-seasoned (8 pieces)

This is not definitely not one of those swish enamelled cast iron kitchen sets!However, I've bought these for using with barbecues and over open fires when camping or cooking in the garden. This is what they are great for and they don't have wooden handles to get burned and ruined. I've used these a couple of times now and I'm more than happy with what I've bought. They came from Germany well packed and well within the delivery window!I have had experience of cast iron stuff before and it can be quite aggressively cleaned in ways that would ruin aluminium non-stick. However, If you are new to rough cast iron cookware - just follow the instructions for 'seasoning cast iron cookware' on the internet and you won't go far wrong! (there are a couple of differing methods - they all work)The storage case is solid and the rope handles make it easy to lift in and out of the car.You should also dry these thoroughly and wipe them with a little cooking oil after each use and before stowing away to stop them from rustingThe flat-bottomed Dutch Oven and the pan & skillet are also fine for using in the kitchen, however, bear in mind that the handles will get hot.Here is a message to the supplier;( Bitte entschuldigen Sie meine schlechte Deutsch)Vielen Dank für ein ausgezeichnetes Produkt zu einem fairen PreisIch bin sehr zufrieden mit meinem Kauf und würde von diesem Anbieter wieder kaufen! I loved the cookware. Nicely made and packaged. However several months after receiving the delivery, several large (approx 12mm long) woodworm type beetles emerged from the wood of the box, making large exit holes. I have been in touch with a pest control expert who advised me to take the box outside immediately and burn it as they could get into the timbers of my house and damage it. The holes the beetles made were not pinhead size like woodworm, but pencil diameter - huge! I'm really freaked out and upset about this problem. Very worrying. If the wood borers get into the timbers of a house, they could destroy it in no time. Nobody at the company seems very worried by this at all though.

The box that it come in is not very good at all

All present and correct...used everything on my first camping trip and all the pots and pans were easy to clean and oil. Be careful how close the Dutch oven gets to the heat source though...managed to boil my stew dry twice!! And definitely invest in a good welders mit, looking forward to the next cooking adventure. As others have said the box is not the best as broken on delivery but all the equipment was packaged well, and the box can be fixed with a bit of wood and a few screws.

Arrived on time. The box is a great idea to keep it all in. It's only when you get it did I realise just how heavy each item was but that said, they're ace. Used on a wood burning stove and it worked fine, not used on a tripod on an open fire yet.

Cooking in the garden and kitchen

Good quality Dutch oven set which we take camping. The lid-lifter was broken when it arrived but everything else is great and we have cooked some amazing things in the Dutch oven. The box is ok and everything fits in it, but we do wrap everything in tea towels so that they don't grate together and get damaged.

Arrived earlier than expected, everything in the box, and my box seems all good ! Complete with bull logo inside and out. Items in box are solid and seem like good quality cast iron.lid fits snug on the Dutch oven! Happy .
