Edge Pro 3000 Grit Polishing Tape

When I recieved this tape, I thought it wasn't abraisive enough for what I wanted. I didn't think it was going to work....but it did, and in excellent form. My knife edges are all mirrors now. I love seeing a polished knife edge, it's the confirmation that your hard work spent sharpening your blade won't go unnoticed. After the tape, I strop the edge and have been getting great results. I now love using my strop for tuning up my blades. It does a fantastic job.

Slap these on your edge pro and let them do their work. Leaves a gorgeous shine and insanely fine edge that can only be made better by a leather strop. After using these to get that fine edge, I can make paper thing slices through even tough tomato skins with one hand and the weight of my knife.

Extremely impressed, each strip is identical to the other. With some less expensive polishing tapes, there are areas of inconsistency with the abrasive adhesion. These strips have none, the consistency is perfect and am able to get a mirror finish on knives with little effort.

Paired with Gritomatic 400 and 1200 grit silicon carbide stones and edge pro style sharpener, I can produce very sharp mirror edges on my D2 folders. The polishing tape works well, but wears out fast, one tape good for maybe 1.5 knives. Perhaps going to higher grit stones would enable the tape to last longer. Would give a 5 if the tape lasted longer.

Awesome lapping film. I picked them up for polishing blade edges and I am super impressed with their quality. I will be buying more.

I use this after my Ultra fine stone to get a mirror polish. It's about as fine as I want to get for my kitchen knives, any more and I don't find the edge holding as long.

I am using these to polish the edge of a knife after a sharpening session with a wetstone based sharpening system. Really makes the edge smooth.

These are a must have to finish up the sharping process of knifes with the Edge Pro, leaves a mirror finish with very little effort. The tapes are tacky and stick to the glass sub-straight really well, no movement or slipping. Removing them is equally simple.
