747- Intercontinetal Snap-Together Model

Originally, when i saw the size of the box this plane came in i was not impressed. it didnt seem to go with the dimensions given in the description of the plane itself. Anyway, as i was unpacking the thing i was able to feel the quality of the material used to make it. the detail of the decals and landing gear is amazing, the plastic used is awesome too. the pictures are a little deceiving, maybe it's the angle, because it looks a little thicker than it really is. Once you've assembled it you're gonna love it.As the notice indicates, there's some assembly required but one thing it didnt mention (or maybe i didnt catch) is that you will need glue if you want the landing gear to permanently stick or if you'd like the plane to stick on the stand permanently as well.

This 747-8i, by virtue, is the most complex of all the Boeing house-color, snap-together models. It has a ton of landing gear pieces, and the model is quite large (some 14" by 14" - or something like that) so it can be slightly unwieldy to put together. The wing-mounted landing gear are the hardest to put on...when applying some pressure to one of them, that particular gear piece snapped and I had to resort to gluing the wheels back to the hydraulic system, and also glue the gear itself into its cutout on the underside of the wing - no big deal, the wheels still turn and you can't see the glue unless you look at the underside closely, but exercise caution when putting the landing gear on. This is an amazing model regardless!

I've always wanted to buy a good quality 747 model since the 747 has always been my favourite aircraft. I had one a long time ago but it was plain plastic. This thing, however, was designed and made to look great and feel great. The body is weighted and is made of good quality synthetic plastic material. It does not feel nor look cheap at all. The colour is simply amazing. I wish some of the commercial planes would use this colour combination!I'm really glad that I bought it. I will buy more when I have a place to display all of them!One request though - I wish Boeing would produce models for all the commercial airplanes out there. Then I'll definitely need a huge room for all of them!

It was just what I wanted, I gave it as a present. What made me decide to choose this product was that it was from the official Boeing store. The gift arrived with any problem, except that I had to pay a little bit more to the custom house.It is a very detailed and huge airplane (it just looks as impressive as the real one), the wings are awesome and the wooden-base makes it look more sophisticated.Some glue will be needed to put the landing gears on but you can also keep them inside the airplane.Btw, I loved the way it was packed.

My 747-8 Model was easy to put together, the packaging was impressive.The only challenge was the landing gear on both wing assemblys,I had to use a tweezer to push down the wheel supports to engage the contact points.Other wise it was not staying in position.Love the way the engine fans spin same as my 787 model.The detail of the curvature of the outer wings is exact.On a scale of 1 to 10 this model is a 10.I would of preferred a silver base on the stand rather then the dated look of wood for such a modern airliner.

This is a very impressive and accurate model. Top quality fit and construction, with a beautiful wood stand and an engraved nameplate. This is easily one of the most attractive display models I own, even my wife commented on how she liked it. And the Boeing store employees were so conscientious, they made several calls when this item was delayed in shipment to make sure I received it and that I was satisfied. I plan to collect all the Boeing house colors fleet from the Boeing store.

I go to many AVIATION shows and have seen many models this is just as good as any model out there. Looks very unique and classy makes a great collection for all who love Aviation and Planes. Exact Boeing 747 replica ! Well worth the price !

These are always cool. I gave it a good rating only because I have several of these resin/plastic models. Could have been better but I now know what to buy for the quality and detail I crave in a model.
