Necessary Roughness (1991)

I'll be honest, anytime I see a complete series for such a low price I get nervous that it's going to be some sort of scam, like the discs won't work or the image is going to be out of focus or something, but I went ahead and took the chance and bought it. Let me tell you, I'm so glad I did. Not only do I love this show, but everything works and looks exactly like it's supposed to. The audio is great, the video is clear and just like it was when I was watching the show air. It's prefect.I've checked every disk and everything is just as it should be. Amazing show, amazing price, amazing experience.

Whether you'll enjoy Necessary Roughness depends almost entirely on how much you enjoy watching Callie Thorne as Dr. Dani Santino. She's the eye of the hurricane, surrounded by the weekly mayhem of sports figures, celebrities, etc. who are trying to navigate obstacles in their lives. This DVD set includes all three seasons, no frills, for an absurdly low price. I'm happy to have it. I prefer the first two seasons to the third, which was reimagined with John Stamos sharing the lead. I'm a big fan of the USA Network programs that ran from roughly 2007-2015, including this show, as well as Burn Notice, the latter years of Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Covert Affairs, Royal Pains, In Plain Sight, etc. Other than L&O:CI, which moved to USA from NBC in 2007, these shows have a consistent "guilty pleasure" quality -- there's no point in taking them too seriously, but you just might enjoy yourself, all the same.

I ordered this as I had watched but never finished. All discs worked great and I really like the small form factor of the case. Great series too. Recommend.

Arrived on time on date stated. I've only watched the first of a multi-disc pack of DVDs, but it plays beautifully, so I assume the rest will be OK. It was new as stated, still wrapped in original plastic wrap.

I loved this movie when I was younger but it took forever to find it on DVD. Its the same old cliche underdog sports story in the vein of Major League but for me its a classic. Sometimes things you loved as a kid aren't as good when you revisit them as a adult. Not Necessary Roughness. I love it just as much today.
