Black Diamond Storm 375 Headlamp Octane One Size

Have exchange it twice and all 3 have had the same issue. They turn off after about an hour and won’t turn back on till they cool off. Other than this, hands down the best headlamp on the market, but is a deal breaker. Who wants to sit in the dark woods waiting for their light to work. I should have list to everyone else and stayed away.

This lamp is very good for shooting POV videos from home. It lights up the cheeks in the 6 9 position and puts a whole new light on your money shot. This is a must do for any Gianna Dior fan.

I bought this product for hunting and it does exactly what I need. I was able to walk from the ATV to my hunting locations in complete darkness with no issues using the green light and even came within 30 yards of hogs and slipped into my blind unnoticed. After I was done hunting I hit the regular light to full power and it worked out to 100 yards as advertised and I felt safe walking out. I will never keep it on for more than 30 minutes or so at full power so I am not sure about it dimming after long use. I've only used it twice since I just bought it but it does exactly what I need it to do.

These days, when you can find online promises of 1000lm or 10,000lm headlights & flashlights, it's refreshing to see that Black Diamond holds its own. I hike a lot and especially now in winter - often in the dark before dawn.The Black Diamond headlight is great - bright, well-made and robust. I like it's solidity and features. I actually like the fact that it uses regular AAA batteries instead of being rechargeable - it's not always easy to find a place to recharge lights that have built-in batteries while it's easy to carry a spare pack of AAA cells on a long hike.Some people might find it slightly heavy, but I'd far rather have that than a lighter, flimsy unit.

So I purchased the same headlamp to replace my ancient Petzl that disintegrated. I honestly haven't used it much as I was pregnant when I got it but my husband would "borrow" it. He had an older BD that was the most powerful on the market when he purchased it but this was brighter and longer lasting than that one. (I don't remember what he had previously.) So, in order for me to not lose my nice, new headlamp, I got him this one for Christmas. We primarily use these for night hiking/snowboarding, camping trips, and for getting down from the crag after a day of climbing.

Love this headlamp from black diamond it was even better than I expected love all the features my friend has one and older model and it was great we use it when we go fishing by the lake you can’t compare this to a regular headlamp this one is so much better and all the features fantastic red blue and green lights Four different vision settings and the highbeam and low beam and Plus a dimmer and strobe but most important that I love is The one touched tap on the side which allows you to easily change from one light to another light and when you turn it on and off it automatically goes back to less light setting that you had great product well worth the money would recommend it to everybody, thank you Blackdiamond for making such a wonderful product

I was very pleased with this purchase. Very well made headlamp with q comfortable band. Has big white light, small white light, and red, green or blue small light. If you hold the big button you can dim white lights, all the way up to both at full brightness. Can also set colored lights to flash if you click small button twice, good for distress call. Battery indicator lights on side are also good feature.

every time I turned this device on it would start bright and auto dim to almost zero light at lowest setting after 3-5 seconds. I initially thought it was to do with brightness memory and wasn't programming it correctly, or a fault. However, after watching lots of instructional video then scratching my hea, I realised the battery level indicator was at 30%. The supplied batteries were almost dead. Added some rechargeable batteries and is now working perfectly. Great light, love the green/red/blue light choice to help with night blindness. Super bright!

A really nice balance between being compact, sturdy, waterproof and bright. Various multicoloured light and colour options and takes a bit of learning before changing modes becomes instinctive. Overall with out being a specialist head torch this one is ideal for everything and small enough to always carry. I love it from everything form night kayaking to car maintenance and indeed own more than one!

Brilliant headlamp, useful around the house or outdoors with loads of different settings from really bright to dim and multiple colours . Headband stays put through light activities haven't tried it with anything harder like running. Seller was excellent fast dispatch and good price.

Having a lot of fun with this thing. If you set it to the red light and lower the intensity of the light, you can use it like a Borg eye patch.

Perfect for what I was after. Exactly as described. I was worried that it might be uncomfortable and heavy with the 4 AAA batteries but it’s not at all. All the varying light features work well and are incredibly easy to work out even without instruction. Highly recommended
