Face wash
Love this brand, super clean ingredients and does not break me out like most face washes

Works well
This is my second or third time purchasing- I used to get directly from the Honest site until they discontinued their monthly bundle subscription. I have sensitive, clog-prone skin and I wear physical sunscreen daily. I use this as my only cleanser, not as a pre-cleanse. The instructions on the bottle and box are different so what I do is moisten my hands, put a little in my hands and then rub it on my face. I remove it with a wet baby washcloth. This gets everything off. I recently started trying it on my eyes and it works well for mascara too- I have not tried it with waterproof mascara yet. It's rare that I re-purchase skincare items because my skin hates most things and I am always looking for something better. It's a testament to this product that I have ordered it more than once.

Good Cleanser
Pretty good cleanser. Gets off majority of my makeup but does feel oily afterwards.

Perfect double cleanse cleanser
I’ve been using this now for 6 years and since I don’t need diapers anymore I order it from Amazon. This cleanser is so good. I like the scent (slight rose water scent) and the gel texture. I love to use this for a double cleanse. Will rub cleanser over my dry face to get it working on the makeup including my eyelids and eyelashes. Do a rinse and then the second time I let it get milky and rinse well. It gets my makeup off and my skin is gloriously clean but not dried out. I’m also letting my tween daughter cleanse with it. I do think the clay in it helps with acne even. All in all a great product!

Still feels greasy
I love the foaming Honest cleanser so I decide to try this too but I am disappointed. When I wash my face after massaging with cleanser, I expect that my skin would feel clean. In this case it still feels greasy. The texture is also weird: at first its a gel then when you rub a bit to apply to your skin it becomes something watery and feels like there is nothing on your fingers. The only positive side is that it really makes your skin soft like after good hydration. But as a cleanser, to me, it's not doing it's job the way I prefer.

Value for your money
I have conbination skin and I usually have issues with my cleansers stripping my face after a few weeks of usage, but I love to double cleanse. I have been using this for about 2 months now and it leaves my face moisturized I like that it has no fragrance as well. Please keep in mind that this is a pre-cleanser so you still need to use another cleanser after. I’ve been combining this with the Peach & Lily power calm hydrating gel cleanser and it does get all my make up off. On the days I only use sunscream I use it by itself.

Product doesn’t offer what it advertised
As shown in the picture above, I followed the instructions on the packaging and used the product twice, followed by my regular cleanser. Despite this, I still needed three cotton rounds to fully clean my face. This so-called ‘magic gel’ is completely ineffective!

Works great as a 1st Cleanse
I double cleanse and I think this works well for my first step to remove oil-based impurities such as waterproof makeup, SPF and sebum. I saw this on Jessica Alba's video on Harper Bizarre's "Go to bed with me" series. She actually uses this first and THEN her foaming cleanser. The texture of this is like a thick gel that does get milky with the addition of water, just like other oil cleaners I use. It works well to dissolve my spf and waterproof mascara, then I use my second cleanser (water based cleanser). If you don't use a second cleanser, you will have a film, much like any other oil cleanser. The website directions says this --How to use: Use on wet or dry skin. For difficult makeup removal, massage cleanser onto dry skin, then rinse with warm water. For regular use, massage cleanser onto wet skin as the gel turns to milk, then rinse with warm water. The directions don't indicate your face will feel squeaky clean. They say "for difficult makeup removal". Most low star ratings on this item are because people do not understand the double cleanse concept. This product is 5 stars if you use it in the manner it was designed to be used.
