Perfect for cutting messy seed pods off my giant palm tree!
This tool did the job quickly and easily. It took a few minutes to take it out of the box and attach the saw to the end of the pole with one screw, but then I was able to cut off the seed pods from my huge palm tree in less than 5 minutes with ease. The tool is nice and light (but rugged and sturdy) with comfortable grips and easy-to-use telescoping pole to get just the right length (up to 24 feet), and the saw itself is well designed and functional. These seed pods make a mess all over my driveway every year, and I am so happy to be able to cut them off any time I like now on my own schedule in just a few minutes!

Low price and works well
This pole saw is definitely long enough. I had to trim several very tall oak trees down the hill in front of my house and this saw handled it very well. The saw blade is very aggressive on green branches. Even branches as thick as 6" came down easily. The curve of the blade and the hook at the end helped a lot in doing that. The blade is very flexible. Several times I had the blade pinched as the branch is being cut and I bent the blade severely in trying to dislodge it. I thought for sure it was going to snap off the handle. But that didn't happen and once dislodged, the blade sprang back to the original shape. I extended the pole to about 80% of the maximum at one point. It became heavy and unwieldy at that length. But that is to be expected. The only negative I encountered has to do with the 2 spongy yellow grips on the handle. They are too flimsy and ripped to shreds after just a few minutes of use. But the saw functions just fine without them.

Work as design; lightweight and sharp
Bought this because I saw the professional one use this to cut the branches. I used this to trim the oak tree. The pole is light weight compared to 100% fiberglass one. This one is fiberglass for the outside tube and has 2 extensions rod of metal alloy. It is light wieght and can extended to 24 feet. You can reach really tall branches, and the blade is sharp. I used it to cut branch up to 4" branches. You can use it on the ground or up at the tree. Overall, safisfy with the product. Some people say the externsion can be bended. From my experence, it depends on how we apply the force to saw. I have to apply the up and down force to saw and not press it hardly on to branch. The brade is sharp so no problem to take down the branch. My only complain is the rod has little dent due to shipping. I didn't bother to return it for exchange and take that. don't think it will affect the operation, only appearence.AW

Flimsy Poles - Permanently bent first time I used it.
First, the good points that I really liked:1. It is light weight and easy to hoist into the air.2. The saw blade is extremely sharp and cuts well. The little hook on the end really helps to complete the trimming of palm seed stalks if I cut through the stalk with the saw but still have a few strands keeping it attached to the palm tree. Tip: only saw on the pull stroke as the pole and saw blade are too flimsy to handle being pushed.3. This product did a great job of trimming overall (up until when the pole sections bent (see below). Now the bad:1. The pole is flimsy and permanently bent in two places the only time I used it (today). I was trimming palm seed stalks that are relatively easy to saw through as they are only 1- 1.5" in diameter and are much softer than regular wood branches. I did not even have the saw extended more than about 2/3rds of its full 25' length.2. The saw blade, although sharp and cuts well, is thin and bends easily. It is too flimsy compared to the many other similar tools I have used over the years. Its thickness is only 1 millimeter. That is only 1/25 of an inch thick which is not robust enough for this type of tool.3. Although not a real big deal, the little latches that lock one pole section to another can tend to slip a little. Not a big deal and I could easily live with this small issue.4. Also not a big deal, but the outer pole section was slightly dented in shipment, enough to make it sort of hard to extend out the pole sections. If this were the only problem, I would gladly keep the saw and deal with the difficulty when extending segments. It needs to be packaged much better.5. Final negative point - after I returned item and got a full refund (thank you for that) the seller contacted me and asked me to change my review. I think that asking me to change my review is unethical. I do not plan on buying anything from this seller ever again.Bottom line - this is a flimsy product and does not hold up under normal use. I have used many other similar products and none of them have ever been so flimsy. (All others had fiberglass poles and thicker blades.)

A bit of a workout but fun and effective
I'm already known as the crazy lady of the neighborhood. This pole saw ups my game. The new neighbor next door (who is already on my you know what list) is terrified of me! As for how the saw works, it's sharp and flexible. I've pruned plenty of trees on my property very nicely.

Great blade but pole is a little flimsy when fully extended
I loved this saw allowing me to cut palm fronds while standing on the ground. It worked for several palm trees. Ocassionally I was having trouble freeing the blade from a frond. If the blade gets stuck while cutting, trying to free the blade can stress the compression clamps of the telescoping sections. Finally one of the clamps gave way and now cannot adequately hold one of the nested sections of poles. Not sure the pole will be useable at full extension anymore. I need to buy a new pole and keep the blade. Also when fully extended, the aluminum poles combined with the separate sections make the long assembly somewhat flimsy and bendy. This makes it awkward to manage the blade position when fully extended. Graphite composite poles may be stiffer and better but likely way more expensive. This design will do. Just be careful not to break anything when the pole is fully extended and more vulnerable.

Works well if you know the tricks
The media could not be loaded. We bought an electric pole saw to easily cut lower and thick branches, this hand pole saw is still useful with its super long reach. Lightweight and easy to use. Tips:1.Overlap: don't extend the pole to its full capacity. Always leave an overlap of 10-15cm for each segments to keep it stable.2. Angle: keep an angle of around 60 degrees to leverage the weight of the blade to do the work. If the angle is too flat, it is hard to cut into the branch. If the angle is too upright, you get tired easily. The blade end and inertia help too.3. Strength: cut with dexterity instead of brute force. The blade is elastic yet sharp.

Super long reach and sharp blade
Longer then more expensive ones for half the price. It gets pretty flimsy at full extension as can be expected. Blade is super sharp. Handle seems cheaply made yet sturdy. Perfect for around the house jobs. Cut through 5” diameter tree branches on a horse chestnut tree no problem. I have used the professional brand ones before and this one, while not as good of quality, gives it a run for its money. Happy buy indeed.

Surprisingly good
The pole seems adequately sturdy. At full extension I was able to cut a 5 inch diameter branch from my neighbour's maple tree that was shading out my roses and my pear tree. Don't worry I talked to him before hand. Additionally I've made about a dozen other less taxing cuts. All satisfactory. The actual saw looks a lot like ones I've seen at the dollar store yet the cut is fairly clean. It can be removed from the pole and used as a hand saw if you want. It has a soft plastic grip that's pretty comfy to hold.Seems kind of over-priced (so I'm knocking it down a star) but what's the alternative?

Can reach those high branches
The pole saw has a long very sharp blade, good for cutting using long even strokes on the branches.Excellent for oak branches and ash tree branches. On maple branches the saw teeth clog abit. This pole saw being extra long can reach those high branches without an extension ladder. Just take your time if you have all pole saw extensions deployed.I have used it so many times that it has easily saved me from paying a arborist fee.

Got the work done
I used this to cut a few branches touching on my 2nd story roof (~28' up) - to discourage squirrels from partying on my roof at nighttime. Works well enough. The cut branches are about 3" in diameter. The sawing takes about 5-10 mins each. Easy enough to use. TIP: line up vertically and use gravity to help you. Avoid branches pinching on your saw. Cutting horizontal will take a lot more work (and may not work at all). I actually reached out from a bedroom window from 2nd floor. Less hassle than finding and paying someone else to do this.
