🎶 Distort, Define, Dominate!
The Digi Tech DF7 Distortion Factory delivers seven world-famous tones in one box! To get a whole spectrum of distortion tones you could spend a fortune on individual stomp boxes (and have a pedal board the size of Delaware) or you can put the new DF7 to work.

Many in one!
Having been playing for well into my 4th decade, I have owned many of the pedels featured in the Digitech DF7. What impressed me was how well they copied the sound and "feel" of the originals. The Rat is stunning! They pegged it perfect. The old TS-9 is as good as any of the old ones I've had. And many of the others are near, if not dead on, as to the sound I remember. I don't use the Metal stuff too much, but they are interseting. Can't say about how they measure up to the originals, as I never owned them. And the added punch that the DOD 250 is great. The manner in which one sets their tone is something that the originals did not have. Getting the "standard" sound is fairly straight on, but you can tweak the sounds further with the additional tone pots in this pedel and that is a major plus for this device. Again, I am impressed, and I did grow up using almost all of the devices packed into this DF7. So I can safely say that it does a very good job of getting it right. And I'm now an older guy that is much more harder to impress these days!!I'm glad that Digitech took the time to do their homework here and this does have Many in One!

Good pedal, cool sounds but not for me.
First of all I must say this is actually a GOOD pedal. The idea of having 7 stompboxes in one single pedal was 50-50 weird and attracting.Construction is OK, no issues. Hard and resistant. In terms of versatility, you must have some time for a trial and error game, specially with those concentric pots, but sure as hell you will get a bunch of pretty cool tones in a while. What I did not bear in mind was that, unless you are going to use one single pedal, this stompbox was going to interact with the rest of my pedalboard, not only from a sonic point of view, but in terms of power, and this is where issues appeared. Of course, do not even think in spending a single buck in batteries for this, it NEEDS to be plugged. Period.Digital pedals are great and can sound in many ways you did not imagine, but they require a lot of milliamps, I mean, their power draw is pretty high. No matter if you use a one spot or a power brick, this baby is gonna suck the hell out of it, causing a lot of noise if not satisfied. My advise is to plug it into an exclusive power source and make a lot of tests, trial and error, listen to how it interacts with your rig and keep testing. In my particular case, being an all-analog guy, this did not work out, though I assume it sounds great and is a pretty cool (And cheaper) substitute for the 7 stompboxes it emulates, specially the Metal Zone.Good choice but, unfortunately, not for me.

7 times the fun
I play Rock, Blues, Boogie and Hard Rock since 1967. I play a Gibson SG thru a Marshall AVT 150 half stack. I like this pedal a lot. It has 7 distinct sounds and each can be tweaked a ton by the tone and gain controls. You can add distortion and sustain to suit any style and it sounds great on the clean or gain chanels on my amp. I am geting a 9v power supply as the thing eats batteries every 3 hours or so. Built like a tank, got mine used here on amazon. The only thing I would add is the ability to program saved settings.

Freakin' awesome
It really is like 7 different pedals, fulfilling the need for crunch on many different levels. I am most pleased with mine. Most pleased, complete.

Great Pedal, bad distributers
I wanted to get a distortion with various effects for a good price and the DF7 does the trick. I've been using a smaller crate amp so I am not sure on how clean it sounds on a bigger amp. I have tons of fun with this pedal, the only problem i had is that the company sent me the CF7, chorus factory, so it took me another week to get my product. Overall Great pedal

Want Rat? You Got It.
My review is fairly similar to some others I've seen. The first four pedal models are pretty dead-on: the Tube Screamer, DOD, Rat, etc. I've owned those actual pedals and every time I'll change this out, a little voice in my head says,"You've done it, bought the t-shirt. You know those pedals and thing's so close it'd be stupid to buy any one of them." It says 'Distortion Factory,' but those first four modeled pedals are really good for overdrive. The metal modeling probably leaves something to be desired, but without actually owning a Marshall half stack or Egnator, and then putting one of these through, I'm not sure. For the money, and the design (built really well, multiple gigs and still going strong), this is it for overdrive/distortion.
