High quality at a low price
I purchased this U-lock lock to use with my bike and lock it in an urban area. I will frequently ride my bike to public transit and then continue my journey via train or bus, leaving my bike near that location. This lock has provided me the security and peace-of-mind typically afforded by more expensive locks. Some key points to keep in mind with this lock:- It is heavy duty without being too heavy! You can comfortable put it into your backpack while riding or mount it on the frame of your bike.- The included mounting kit has worked well for my uses, and quickly releases the lock every time!- A little weather is no issue. I've used this lock at low temperatures, in both snow and rain, and have not once had an issue with it unlocking on the first go-around.As I transitioned into using an electric scooter, this lock came right along with me. It is the perfect length to feed through the rear wheel of the scooter while giving enough space for mounting to a rack. The included cable was helpful to provide peace of mind in deterring theft - you should never leave a scooter unattended for a long time, but as a delay mechanism for potential thieves, this lock is perfect! Quick, portable, and easy to lock up your wheels - bike, scooter, or beyond!

Beefy lock, well-made, easy to use
Well, the only way you know a lock works is if someone tries to steal what you're locking up and they fail or move on to something easier. Fortunately, I can't say that's happened, so I'll go for the next best thing, looking at it and guessing how hard it would be to defeat. I'm no expert, but it's very sturdy and well-built.I've had several Kryptonite locks before and this one looks thicker than their least expensive model, and it's far less expensive. It works in a similar fashion, so I found it easy to use.All in all, a good product and a great value!

Too heavy for my liking but very sturdy and strong if you need to lock your bike.
I rated this 4 stars because it is so good quality and a great price. However, it was not able to attach to my bike frame which is wide and not a narrow pole, and it was quite heavy, making it much more impractical to ride a bike with it attached, even if it were able to attach.I would buy this again if I needed to lock my bike up, I would feel safe with my bike locked up. Since it was only a precaution and I don't even need to lock my bike, I didn't need this, but I would definitely recommend it. I guess with a solid quality there's nothing you can do about the weight, I could see this being hard to break into, unlike the claim and rope type locks which can be cut in less than 1 second. If you get it, you might need to carry in your backpack or something.Other than that, this lock is Highly Recommended!

Quality of the Product
It looks complicating and it looks difficult to lock. Yet, the more complex the lock looks, the more complexity of the lock to break.

Seems sturdy and as good as 'top' brands
There are the big brands which seem to be heavily marketed and not necessarily any more secure, and any lock can be broken or picked with the right skill/equipment but this lock seems as sturdy as my 'big brand' one and the key style seems very similar. Only downside is that it only came with 2 keys - 3 would be nice. Remember to put the U through the frame and ideally back wheel and cable through the U and front wheel.n.b. I'm on a mission to write genuine reviews (too many fake ones). I genuinely purchased this item with my own money without incentive or connection to the seller/manufacturer. If you find my review useful, please click 'helpful' so I know, thanks.

Looks solid!
Heavier than what I had expected but I guess that makes it harder to break as well :). Not very convenient to find a place where to put it on my (women’s) bike but eventually figured out a spot (see pic attached). Nice to have that “extension cord” but not easy to find where to put it on the bike either. For these reasons, I put 4 stars instead of 5 for “easy to use.” Otherwise, looks pretty solid and good!

Cheap
The lock is sturdy enough to do its job as a lock, but it feels cheap in doing so.The key and tumbler generally feel loose when locking and unlocking. The U is a nice material, but the flat bar is all cheap-looking rigid plastic that mars the bike's finish. The U is borderline too small for my bike. There are many racks, poles, etc. that I've used where I struggled to get the lock around the pole, frame, and wheel. The included cable feels nice and is just long enough to wrap around the back wheel only. The mount kept sliding down and side to side on my bike despite using the pads and tightening the screws. The screws are too long and stick out with sharp edges; when hoisting the bike over my shoulder, they cut my arm. The secondary strap also wouldn't stay firmly put. And just a week of having the lock, the mount failed and won't stay in position--it's useless now.Like others said, when mounted the lock made loud clanging noises even when strapped in with the secondary strap. You get what you pay for, I guess.

Great lock, poor bracket.
The lock is strong and well built, but the holder broke within a week. The lock is heavy and the plastic holder snapped easily. Overall, still a good product, just dont trust the bracket to hold the lock.
