Spyderco ClipiTool Folding Utility Pocket Knife, PlainEdge and SpyderEdge

Overall apx knife size 2 1/2 inches closed or 4 1/2 inches open. It weighs apx 22 grams or about the weight of 4 US nickels. Both the straight and serrated blades are 2 inches long which is legally allowed in California including all municipalities such as LA and Oakland that have the most restrictive knife laws in the state. This Spyderco knife is of quality construction of stainless steel materials. It was received almost razor sharp, without any detectable play between the 8Cr13MoV blades and handle. The straight blade is 7/8 inches wide from its 3/16 inch thick spine to the cutting edge with a 5/8 inch diameter hole to assist with opening. The serrated blade is also 3/16 inch thick, 1/4 inch wide cutting depth with a 1/2 inch wide tip having a 1/4 inch hole to assist with opening. I find it requires two hands to open. Neither are locking blades. This knife has a clip which could be detached by removing 3 screws and it grips securely. I clip mine to the top of my denim pants watch pocket for secure carrying and easy access. This knife is an excellent cutting tool. This cutting tool is suitable to open boxes, cut cords, car safety belts and can even be used when dining as a steak knife etc. Be aware if it's with you and you have need to pass through TSA, NSA security check points, Courts or other facilities or localities where knives are prohibited, or it would be confiscated. I strongly suggest researching pocket knife laws especially when traveling outside the US. It was legal in South Korea and Canada but not in Mexico. It’s small size and light weight makes it easy to forget it's with you. Such a handy tool would be missed if lost. Overall this Spyderco knife model is small and light and has proven itself a nice lil' tool. THERE ARE 3 VERSIONS. The one reviewed has two blades, one serrated and one plain blade. Another has a plain knife blade and scissors. The third version has a plan blade and a screwdriver, bottle opener. Be aware to specify the version you want when ordering.

Well built. All metal. Small size can fit in your jeans change pocket. Before you order, know that this has a Slip Joint system of keeping the blade open. It does not lock. But the Slip Joint is firm and strong when open. The Slip Joint knife has been used for many years by millions of users with no problems. It works fine for simple every day tasks. If you prefer a locking blade, then order a different model that has that feature. I like the choice of two blades, straight and serrated. The small size can be used in the workplace for office tasks without freaking out fellow employees. All said, this is the perfect knife for those in need of an "Every Day Carry" that is small and very well made, and very useful.

It’s really close to perfect if you pay any amount of attention to the description. Excellent KEYCHAIN SIZED, NON-LOCKING, folder with the really smart bonus of getting to choose an addition piece of functionality (scissors, serrated blade, bottle opener/pry). Shame on Amazon for allowing reviews that relate to it being small and not having a lock, those are the design elements that actually define THIS knife. There are tons and tons of places that wont allow locking folders and there are literally hundreds of thousands of larger knives with locks. This one is awesome at being tiny, non-locking. I chose the serrated blade purely because I thought it would bridge the gap (if there ever is a gap) when I might wish I had a larger knife with me. The scissors are also super smart and I might grab those for my niece when she goes to college, though the bottle opener has obvious applications, lolol. This thing is all steel, so it’s a tank - it might even survive

I have owned Spyderco knives since the early 1990's. I have quite a few of them. I bought this little knife, well because it was cheap. I wasnt really expecting much for the money. It is a nice little knife. It does have its place in your collection of knives. No its not as tough as some of their larger knives and it doesnt have a blade lock. The blades to sit in place firmly.

This is a very high quality knife, small but quite useful!

Incredibly sturdy and sharp knife in rock solid case. At this price, a great opportunity to own and give a SPYDERCO knife. Already suited to fit on a keyring, the sturdy clip keeps keys from falling to bottom of a pocket or purse. Added serrated knife is a bonus that easity cut through cardboard Amazon box I used to test. Also ordered version with scissors and need to decide which to slip on my keyring, which to wrap as a gift. Another bonus: Comes in reusable box with magnetic closure.

Great especially for the price. Very good quality. Perfect size.

Excellent knife. Very compact and useful.
