Easy-To-Use Slide Converter
This is a great little machine for the price. It allows you to scan and save slides and negatives to an included SD card. It is pretty easy to use and the screen lets you see the result before you save. There are more expensive machines like this but since most of my old family slides are in rough shape, I just wanted to get them saved to digital before they were ruined for good without spending too much money. If your slides are in good shape, the autofeed feature makes feeding the slides into the machine quick and easy. Since some of mine were a little warped, I had to hand feed them but it still produced a fairly good result.

This converter delivers what it promises.
Now I don't need my slide projector. This small converter made it possible to transfer all of my slides onto my computer. It's great to view these slides filled with so many memories not only on our computers but also now on the new TV screen. I'm 81 years old and I am happy to know that all of my children and grandkids do not need a slide projector so see a visual presentation of our family history. Also, I received this converted the day before it was to be delivered! Oh yes, if you want to convert your 35mm slides quickly with very good results, this is the converter to buy.It would have cost me almost $500. Doing it yourself can save you a lot of money.

The
It works quite well and I am mostly satisfied with the performance. I can not say it is not excellent for two reasons.1. 35mm tray was difficult to open and close and grab the slides. Took quite a bit of time. Poor tray design.2. No 110 support. After scanning over 500 slides,I am happy that I made the purchase.I saw that a competitor supports other formats and has a way to feed the negative through the scanner saving time on setup.I think it would be a much better product if they offered slide trays for other formats such as 110 and fixed the 35mm tray that tends to stick shut.

Works as described and worked well
This is easy to use. It is a bit glitchy - the sliding feeder tray sticks sometimes so you have to sort of push the slide through. But this does not happen all the time, and when the slides are feeding normally it is quick and easy. I did not find the slide holder (where you put individual slides in and close the tray) to be useful. It took too much time to open the tray, insert the slides and then slide the tray into the machine. The easiest way, for me, was to use the slide feeder. I think you are supposed to be able to stack several slides in this and then feed them into the converter. However, I put slides in to the tray one at a time, slid the lever across and out pops the slide on the other side. I can see the picture and decide it I want to “capture” it to the SC card or not. Very easy and quick. I did hundred of slides and it probably took me 3 to 4 hours total. I have transferred them to my computer with the SD card and the quality of the pictures is good. I used the 10 pixel resolution, however. And I did not run out of room on the SD card. The first SD card I got with the converter did not work. The converter could not read the card. I emailed the company and they replied right away to say they would send another SD card - which they did, again very quickly. So I have to say that customer service is A+. There are much more expensive converters out there, but this worked well for me. These slides are about 50 years old and the only slides we have. We don’t take slide photos anymore, so I don’t think we will be using the converter in the future. So we didn't want to spend a lot of money on a one time use item. This was perfect. Did the job easily, quickly and with satisfying results. I recommend it. The only reason I am giving any of the above areas 4 stars is that it is a bit “sticky” in the feeder tray. I think the color resolution is good, but I can’t really tell. Some of the slides are blurry - but who knows after all these years if that is due to the converter or the photographer! Overall, this is a good choice if you just want to get slides onto your computer for storage.

THANKS ClearClick for a GREAT PRODUCT
This is a great product. I have over 100 rolls of film I need to convert plus some slides. I intend to do this to archive and digitize all my pre-digital photos. A camera shop wanted 65 cents per negative to do it plus $5.00 for the DVD, per roll of film (times that by 100 rolls and it's BIG BUCKS). Yes, this ClearClick is a great product for home use, however it is NOT lab quality. I didn't buy it to be lab quality, I bought it as a quick, easy, inexpensive archival method. So please keep that in mind and you will LOVE this little converter. I will then take my best photos to a photo lab to be digitized, and this will save me many $$$ plus I have EVERY photo digitized by using this device, not just my best ones. It's about the size of a slide viewer and I don't need to be on my computer to convert my pictures, which is really nice. THANKS ClearClick for a GREAT PRODUCT.

Not Happy At All - Sorry!
I could not figure this out at all. I had already scanned my slides with a real scanner about 7 years ago (the - pictures are on several discs), but I wanted to re-do the project and correct some slides that didn't come out right. I've just spent the last 5 days organizing and sorting all these slides - again. I was befuddled by the buttons and settings on this device, and did not find the directions clear at all. I found the thing where you insert the slides very difficult to open - I felt like the plastic would break if I used too much force. I repacked all the parts - the box is sitting by my front door waiting for UPS to pick it up, hopefully tomorrow. I'm just going to transfer all my photos (previously scanned) and make albums on Facebook for posterity - and that's it. Tired of dealing with all this nonsense. I am amazed at the reviews I've read that make this device seem like a cinch to use - I did not find it easy; in fact, I could not make it do anything - could not even see a clear image on the top viewer.

Works as advertised
I purchased this scanner to convert my old collection of over 6,000 slides to digital format. I have almost 4,000 done and the scanner has worked as advertised. The quality is good (although some of my slides were not). One does have to clean the screen about twice per tray to get rid of accumulated dust which is attracted to the screen. However, this is not difficult. I had a couple of purchased slides which were non-standard format and I wish that I could focus the scanner (they were out just the tiniest amount).

Poor Build Quality, Poor Image Quality
This is the fourth slide scanner I've used, and by far the poorest image quality and cheapest build quality. Results with both 5MP and 10MP (interpolated?) settings were very disappointing.Materials / construction is poor - film feeder was deformed when it arrived and repeatedly snagged as it was fed though. I was able to gently bend it back into shape to feed smoothly, but had to be cautious not to break it. Film feeder design protects negatives (which was important to me), but the poor quality makes it difficult to open and close. The SD card slot was very stiff making it difficult to insert the card. The included SD card (no brand) was very flimsy and snapped in half trying to get it in the slot. I tried a better quality card (Kingston) - it was still stiff to insert, but once in it worked fine.I've used an Ion scanner for several years and was looking for a similar model to replace it (started having problems reading and writing to SD cards). Tried the similarly-priced Magnasonic model - it produced much better quality scans, but the feeding mechanism damaged film strips (it would be a good choice if you were only scanning slides). I also have a Plustek OpticFilm 8200, which produces high quality scans but is incredibly slow. With a similar feeding mechanism to the Ion, I had hoped the ClearClick scanner would allow me to quickly scan thousands of photos (to identify ones I want to scan with the Plustek), but the image quality is terrible and the poor build quality has me doubting it would last very long.
