Bob's Red Mill Organic Wheat Hard Red Spring Wheat Berries 28 Ounce

I used this to make Greek "koliva" for a traditional church memorial service. I followed the directions i found on the company's website (!) for this, and it turned out perfectly and everyone at church told me how delicious it was. I soaked the amount I needed in water for about 4 hours, then put it in water in my Instant Pot for about 30 minutes (pressured cooked) and it was the perfect texture. It makes a great grain-based salad and side dish.

I received this package in great shape. I finally cooked some of the wheat berries last night for dinner. I used this instead of rice. I put them in a pressure cooker and cooked for about 45 minutes. When I opened the pan it had a smell but that is because I am cooking a great, wheat berries. I made a quick ginger chicken stir fry and put on top of the wheat berries with a slice of lime to squeeze on top.. really good! The wheat berries were cooked perfectly. They were not hard and really tasty in my opinion. I will get more.

Okay, this is an awesome whole wheat product. Soak it overnight, cook it in the morning and it'll last in the fridge for 3 days!I make it like a breakfast cereal with milk, honey and vanilla!!! Nutrition, flavor and excellent texture. I love this stuff!!!

Great buy

I bought this product to sprout and grow my own wheatgrass. It sprouted and grew perfectly! As with all Bob's Red Mill products, the quality is wonderful. I would not hesitate to order it again. This is perfect if growing wheatgrass is your goal. I can't speak for grinding it for flour, but I am sure it is perfect for that as well.

I always buy bob's organic wheat berries. Very disappointed when I opened them today and noticed black flecks in the water after I poured in a cup. The flecks were bugs. Fortunately they were all dead. Never had this before. Very bummed because I don't know of many other wheat berry distributors.

Ordered it for my mother. she wanted to grow wheat grass in house and make juice, which turned out great. Even in indoors with low sunlight these grew quickly. Afterwards she blended them and made juice, which is really good for your health by the way.

kinda expensive for one bag. You're better off buying the pack of 4 for 2 dollars more.

This is not Hard White Wheat Berries and I only received 1 pack.

I love all Bob's Red Mill products and this is no exception. I make rejuvelac with these berries and also grow wheatgrass.

Mixed with other grains.. Chickens seem to like it.. Thank you.
