Samson TL-1554-01 Akron Oval Drop-In Vitreous China Lavatory 4-Inch Centers, White

I wanted to like this sink, I really did. Sadly, it’s so far from flat that it requires a 1/4 inch of calk on one side. It has a beautiful white porcelain finish, but won’t lay flat on the counter. It’s an upgrade from the awful yellowed plastic sink with no overflow in my RV but all I see when I walk into the bathroom is a Chinese made, disposable junk sink. The transition from a gleaming white to unfinished vitreous china on the sides of the sink only accentuates the defects. I’ve been a builder of custom homes and I have restored 60s muscle cars all my life. I know how to use my hands. My advice is to look elsewhere for an oval sink. Something preferably not made offshore. Let’s see, 70 for the sink, 20 for the drain, 40 for the faucet, another 20 in sealants and plumbers putty, 2 hours labor and it looks like a drunk plumber installed the sink. Update: 3/11/21 after contacting Amazon and this seller regarding my complaint about this sink, the seller quickly refunded my money and apologized for the trouble. They did not wish to have the sink returned. 5 stars for sellers responsiveness and understanding.

The sink has a good and smooth finish throughout. Dropped one star because the resting surface is slightly out of flatness, but a little extra sealant/caulk fixed that. I noticed that some previous reviews complained of poor packing that resulted in damage. My package was double-boxed with excellent packing material. It could have survived rough handling. Overall, I am very satisfied with the sink.

Hard to write a review for something I haven't been able to use. The sink is shipped in a box. THAT'S IT!!! No protective bubble wrap or anything. The first one I received was chipped. The second was shattered. I cancelled the rest as I could not see a point in waiting for more broken product. This is china not steel. China is fragile and will break or chip, a duh. I'm sure the item itself is good but I'll never find out. I just recommend you don't buy anything like this here unless you know it's going to be packed well.BTW, I hate giving something a low rating just because of poor packaging but I really can not recommend you waste your time ordering this item here.

Ordered 3 of these sinks in white. Only 1 came white. The other 2 are biscuit colored. All 3 of the boxes where labeled "white" but clearly they don't match. One of the biscuit colored ones is not level at all on the counter. So much caulk will have to be used.

Installed this in my 1994 Winnebago Vectra. Didn’t want to replace the cracked plastic sink with another plastic sink. This sink has a beautiful finish, it fit perfectly in the existing cutout, the included drainpipe fit exactly into the plumbing. No need for installation clips, I just put a healthy bead of clear silicone around the cutout on the countertop and laid the lip of the sink into the silicone. Holds the sink in place nicely. The pop up drain is a great upgrade. Highly recommend this sink/drain combo

Changed out a plastic sink with this one, was direct fit, no cutting of counter at all. Much better than that blasted plastic one!!

One overflow drain (not two as I have since noticed elsewhere), which should be of no consequence. So far, everything about this sink is at least OK.

This came very well protected. Nice sink,fit perfect, so much nicer than those plastic sinks they put in manufactured homes.
