I've purchased a 3 strings of these strings of lights after loving the first set so much. They are outside on my patio and provide great ambiance for patio parties. The lights are a warm white when on, and about the size of a large marble. They are pretty, even without being turned on, it looks like they have a little flecks of gold color in them. The light does fade some after about 4-5 hours, but that's okay- no batteries or plug-ins needed with this since it’s solar energy. I've also noticed that they are not quite as bright at night when it has been a cloudier day (duh) but that's fine too. They turn on automatically when it's senses it's getting dark out, but I love that I can just flip the solar panel over and they turn on. I leave them up on the patio, and the solar panel has been rained and hailed on recently, and is still working properly. I have gone out to wipe off the solar panel a few times with a paper towel, just to make sure that the sun light that is hitting it is effective during the day.

EDIT- my lights stopped holding their charge- I tried swapping out the battery and they seemed to be good fora about 3 days then pooped out again. Very sad to return them. These came out of the box about 4pm yesterday (a sunny June afternoon). About 8 pm we put them in a dark room to check out whether they were working and in fact they came on. At 6:30 am they were still going strong in the darkened room; at 9:30 they were sputtering out. Amazing. The lights themselves are about 3/4" in diameter and a heavy plastic that clacks like glass and has bubbles inside so there is a nice sparkle and texture to the glow. The color is a yellow that very closely resembles the yellow of an incandescent bulb instead of the normal cold white of most LED's. They put out enough light to see by- I'd estimate that as an aggregate they are the equivalent of a 25-watt bulb so if you had three strings on a small patio you may not need any other light.

I'm used to seeing cheap flimsy quality with lights like these, but I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and function of these lights! The bulb covers are heavy and solid, somewhat "frosted" by the tiny bubbles formed inside the clear plastic making for a nice visual effect. The lights emit a warm cozy light (not the cold stark clinical white light you see with other LED lights) which is what I was hoping for. The lights come on automatically every night when it gets dark enough which is so convenient. Not sure how many hours they shine for yet until the solar battery runs out because they are still shining when we go to bed. There is a blinking mode which might be useful come Christmas time but for now we prefer the steady-on mode. We love these lights so much in our patio garden that we ordered more. Very convenient (just string up the lights and forget it) with the auto-on feature, and never have to worry about batteries thanks to solar power. The price is very fair for everything this product offers. We highly recommend these!

EDIT - after 3 days of full sun without coming on, they have now been working nightly. My one complaint is that they turn on at dawn when its still light and run out of power by 10pm at the latest. Was going to return them, easy to request through amazon, but I'm going to hang onto them now and see if they continue to work! ORIGINAL - These lights are cute - small glass balls - I was very excited as they were the perfect length for my patio. They worked the first night and had a decent glow. Next night (after a full day of sun) they didn't come on. After messing with the 2 buttons on the back they turned on to the flicker mode (very dimly and looked terrible), but would not turn on to the solid light. I thought maybe they needed more charging, but on night 3 they still don't work. Disappointing.

These lights are super cute, and we've gotten many complements on them. They were easy to set up, and drape around the bottom branches of a tree in our yard, and create a nice effect. If you want lights that put off a lot of light, these are not for you. They are a soft light, on the yellow side, but and not powerful. I had to buy multiple strings to put in the tree, and keep in mind that every string needs it's own solar panel stake, they do not string together like Christmas lights.

**Review Edit** I originally reviewed with 4 stars, but I must drop that review down to 2!! (It would have been a 1 if I didn't have the original experience...see original review below) I ordered a set of these lights and loved them so much I decided to order a second set. My issues, however, began with this second set of lights. I received the lights and 1/3 of the strand did not work. I simply returned them, and reordered. Today I received the reordered lights and AGAIN, 1/3 of the strand of lights do not work. However, this time was worse. The box (not the shipping box, the actual product box) was crushed on the end, and one of the bulbs coverings was completely missing and I found it in the bottom of the box. The solar panel was also very dirty like it had been used. I was refunded my money for both items, but unfortunately I'm forced to order it again because I can't get alternative brands that match the light warmth color of the first set I have from Newstyle. Hopefully they get it together this time. However, I'm not confident that their quality control while manufacturing is enough of a priority to ensure I will be satisfied with my third attempt at this second strand of lights! I will update my review depending on the quality of the next strand of lights. If they work, I will leave my review at 2 stars. If they're defective, I will drop it down to 1 star! What a pain in the butt! __________________________________________________________________________________________ **Original Review** I never write reviews, but felt like I should for this one. I bought one strand a few months back and although the length is pretty decent, it wasn't long enough for my project. I ended up ordering a second set, which arrived with part of the strand out so I'm having to reorder and return the second set and wait a little while longer to finish my outdoor area. The lights automatically come on when no light is shining on the solar panel and stay on as long as the charge lasts or until the sun comes up. The bulbs are very thick and sturdy, high winds wouldn't seem like a major issue to break them. I only wish there were different ways to prop the solar panel. Currently the lights come only with a garden stake. Since I mounted my lights Higher up, my panel is about 4.5 feet off of the ground and I had to find ways to attach it to the wall, while still able to access the power and mode buttons, aim it toward the sunlight, and still look visually appealing (haven't figured that part out yet). That would be the only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars!

I purchased seven strings of these lights four years ago and they work great! We’ve changed the batteries inside the solar panel when they stop working (about once a year) and they keep going. We just changed the batteries again and three of the strings aren’t working great so I will replace them. The lights are dim, but with all seven of them hung in rows (like we have), it’s the perfect amount of light. Edit to add: I leave these out year-round in AZ, so temps above 100 5 months of the year and above 112 3 months of the year. Great product!

These lights on my balcony are the delight of every evening. They light up by themselves as it gets totally dark and shire for 4 hours. I cannot even say how much I LOVE THEM. They look so so so pretty and provide a soft decorative lighting. I am actually thinking about getting more solar lights! It amazes me how it captures the solar energy and then shines. I am all about sustainability and natural products and I can tell you that this is my favorite purchase maybe ever !!! When you install it, don't forget to push a small button on the back of the solar panel. It took me a few days to figure that out since there are no instructions enclosed (I thought it was broken but all I needed to do was to push the button). Just push the button once and then you don't have to worry about it anymore and enjoy the light every night.

I like the product, warm hue and they've worked really well so far. I've given 4 out of 5 stars as based on other reviews, they may not have a long life span. But to date, very happy.

The lights are beautiful! A nice soft glow to our patio at night! My only complaint is I paid $35 to have them shipped before a specific date and they came a week and a half late....wanted them for a party😔 I did receive an email saying they would reimburse me but that hasn't happened yet:( poor service but great product!

I really liked them at first but after a month they stopped working and now I can't return them.

Eine sehr hübsche Lichterkette, praktisch auch der Druckknopf an der Solarzelle zum ein- und ausschalten. Würde ich jederzeit wieder kaufen.
