Where there’s a will, there’s a way...
I bought this because I was gifted a bigger TV. I’d just moved into a new place and didn’t have a toolset yet. So me and a buddy assembled this from start to finish with a pair of kitchen shears and a couple of wooden coasters. It took us 2 hours and we had a blast. I say this to point out that if you have an actual toolset, this project would be a breeze. The instructions are really clear and the tools you actually need could be found in 99% of households. (I’m the other 1%) The only thing that we did wrong, which I’m sure was in the instructions was that we put the back piece on upside down, so the holes that wires and cables run through aren’t in easily accessible spots. But I’ve managed to work around that. All in all this is a very sturdy piece of furniture that has made my little apartment feel more like a real home. For the price point I’d say this is top notch!

Not the best for a novice
The stand took me a long time to assemble by myself. When it was finished, the back piece wasn't flush with the top piece which still annoys me to this day and two of the top pieces aren't fully pushed together. I feel like I followed the instructions to a T and it still did not turn out the best. For someone like me with OCD, it does bother me, but maybe the slight "off-ness" of it all wouldn't bother most. It is very sturdy and I have not had any issues in that aspect. The finish is very scratch-sensitive and one of the top pieces came with a small scratch on it before assembly. All-in-all, the product is serving it's purpose for the price I paid.

TV Stand
The directions were pretty good, but didn't give enough info on what screws to use. Also came with a few space parts, but only the 6 feet. We split one foot so had to glue and screw together to use.

Nice for the price
I purchased this as a gift for my son in another state. The delivery company just left it at his door without knocking. There were a couple pieces that were damaged but he didn't want to deal with returning anything so he just put it together. It came out ok. I'd buy again.

Shelves didnt fit
I spent over 3-4 hours putting this together which was a huge headache and you have to screw so many bolts, by the end of it my hand was hurting a lot. Anyway, on the very last step, they tell you to slide the shelves in (after it tells you to close the back of the tv stand, mind you) and when I went to do so, none of the 3 shelves fit inside. I had to manually force the middle shelf into the stand with considerable effort and in the process damaged the wood paint layer noticeably. It is barely hanging on as a result, and I cannot place anything on that shelf for fear of it falling. I had to just throw out the other two shelves because I wasnt going to risk damaging the item any more. I am giving this 2 stars because despite those things, in the end it does the job and it looks good if someone doesnt get too close to it.

You get what you pay for
My biggest disappointment is that the top panel (where the TV sits) is not one solid piece of wood but rather 3 sections. While that design likely helps for production and packaging, I have to say it is not the most aesthetically pleasing. The color is nice, though.Assembly on this unit is a lot like an IKEA experiment. It's all picture based rather than having written words, so it definitely can get a little frustrating as the pictures are not always obvious in terms of what way a certain board needs to be facing during a certain step. I definitely had to re-do certain portions, but that is probably always a risk for the assemble-yourself style furniture.

You get what you pay for..
As other reviewers mentioned, this TV stand is quite the project to assemble but the finished product is well worth it for the low price. My only complaint is that it is already showing wear on some of the corners/edges (see picture) but this is only noticeable up close.

Cheap, and over-engineered. But sturdy.
I should've taken a look at the dimensions because it's a little smaller than I expected. (Only coming up to about my knee). Like many other people mentioned, it takes some time to put together due to the amount of screws and it being very over-engineered in my opinion. The top and bottom are technically three pieces that you put side by side to make the long pieces. But once it is together, it is fairly sturdy. If you're looking for cheap and sturdy, this is the way to go. Spend a bit more if you're looking for quality.
