KINGART 534-24 PRO GOUACHE Paint Set, Set of 24 Unique Colors, 12ml Tubes, Non-toxic, water-based paints

I really wanted to like these gouache paints more but I would rather just use my acrylic paints and I must say I was very disappointed with these. I have brushes and artist mixed media gel sticks from this company that I love but these gouache are ok but a bit tough to work with and not something that I would get and use again.Likes:• I like that they dry super-fast.• The colors are fairly true to the color on the tube.• They were inexpensive- I got to try them as an add on of $4.96 on my Amazon order and I am glad that I did not pay more for them.Dislikes:• They have a super strong smell that is very off putting and I had to wear my mask to use them.• They dry chalky and when you try to use them more like a watercolor they dry chalky and thick in some areas and too watery in other spots.• The colors dry so fast that they dry on the palette and canvas before you are ready and it makes it difficult to mix the colors.• It is a very thick, thick paint and it makes it hard to squeeze out of the paint tube. So if you push too hard to get the paint out it might go everywhere.• They were ok-I expected more-I would not recommend for beginner use at all because you really have to manipulate them and I was not that excited with the test pieces that I did.

Excellent gouache set with many beautiful colors, it works very well, I definitely recommend this product!

I enjoy these paint. They are a higher quality than the craft store sale paints, and not so expensive you have to auction off your kids and pets.Bright colors, nice consistency, good buy!Bought one for myself and one for a gift.

Very easy blending and great variety

They smell horrendous. When I first opened my paints the factory chemical smell filled my entire room. My room smelled like a chemical spill for about four days before it started to dissipate. The paints themselves are fine. They do their job of being paint. But any time you want to paint, the room you're working in is going to smell awful and your artwork is also going to smell pretty strongly.

These paints are beginner-friendly, but had enough drawbacks that I wouldn't recommend them, even to beginners. 24 sounds like a good selection, but they were hard to mix to get new colors, dried almost immediately on a mixing palette, and also both the packaging and the paint have a very intense chemical (chlorine?) smell that gave me headache.

Very smooth paint. A little goes a long way. Great quality

I honestly tried to like it but I just can't find anything good about this product but found none. The packaging looks ok and you'd think the paints will somehow be on that level but nope. It dries up more like acrylics where there is some sort of plastic film on it rather than a matte finish which you should expect from gouche. I really thought it might be a step up to Reeves Gouache. Really disappointed KingArt.

This is very good student grade + gouache.
