Bonder Rubberized Nail Base Coat, .3 Ounce

I do my nails at home and have been doing them since mid to late 2019, this is the first basecoat I bought from Amazon around the same time and it is AMAZING, it will really help my manicure last for much longer! I love that it does that! That being said, it did (as other reviewers have stated) started making my nails increasingly yellow as I kept on using it. I stopped using it for some time and my nails have gone back to normal. So your nails are not permanently stained by this base coat, they just may start getting yellow if you use it regularly. Another thing to note is that this did not happen right away or in the first months but after continuous prolonged use of several months, a nail technician has told me that some nail polishes do that if they get too old. It could be that I and the other reviewers have had out base coat bottle for a long time? To sum it up: PROS: -LONG lasting manicure and pedicure -No funky odor like other base coats -You can buy a little one and try it out before you commit to a big one CONS: -It may make your nails yellow after some months of wear :/ =>BONUS: My tips to make your mani last long (going on 3 weeks of my current mani): 1. Use this base coat. 2. Cap the edges with every single coat you paint, which means paint the actual tip/edge of the nail. 3. Use a gel-like top coat (like Sally Hansen Miracle Gel or OPI Infinite Shine 3). 4. Use gloves when doing dishes and cleaning in general - anything that could be rough on your hands and nails. 5. Don't use your nails to scratch, use your fingertips. 6. That also goes for washing your hair, don't scratch your scalp. I use a shampoo brush purchased here on Amazon. 7. Apply a topcoat every other day or every 2 days to keep your mani protected.

I have been using this Orly Bonder for over 20 years. When I stopped getting acrylic nails. I used it to strengthen my thin nails. Using 1-2 coats under polish make your manicure last 2 weeks or more, with no chipping. It dries fast. It really is like rubber. I highly recommend! My nails are now thick. They don't break much anymore. I have to cut them they are so long.

I’ve been searching high and low for a base coat that actually keeps nail polish intact without chipping. Most of my manis chip only 12-24 hours after polishing, which is very frustrating. I gave myself this particular mani 2 days ago, and absolutely NO chipping yet! I should add that I’m very rough with my hands; I’ve cleaned my house and done some light gardening in my yard since then. I also have a toddler I keep up with, and this mani is holding up just fine! I think it’s important to note that after I removed my old polish with acetone, I washed my nails thoroughly with soap and water before applying the bonder. Any trace of acetone on your nails WILL cause your mani to chip! After applying the bonder, I waited 5 minutes for it to dry before continuing on to my polish. I finished off with Seche Vive gel effect top coat. I’ll update my review soon after I see how long this mani lasts! Very impressed so far! UPDATE 5/3/19: This mani lasted 5 days before I got a small chip on my index finger. I hadn't exactly been gentle with my nails (landscaping, gardening, cleaning house, toddler mom), so I consider this a win since I change my mani every week! Love this product!

This is a great product I use it all the time and it definitely helps a nail polish stay on much longer than normal. It also dries fast which is really nice. This is advertised as a 3 ounce bottle however and it absolutely is not. It is .3oz so don’t buy it expecting to get a larger bottle than normal, it is smaller than a normal bottle. -looks like size was updated, yay!

I've been a nail tech for over 35 years and this is the only base coat made for natural nails. Do not use if you're allergic to latex.

Best for my natural nail base coat , no more chipping.

I have had REALLY oily skin all my life. "They" said it would dry out when I reached 60. I'm almost 70 and it still hasn't happened. TMI - I have never had calluses on my feet because my skin is so oily. Great for keeping wrinkles at bay but not so good when trying to polish your nails. Because of the oil, it never stays. Peels right off. Until I tried this bonder. I used this over a week ago and the polish is still intact! Color me happy! I can wear regular nail polish! Obviously very pleased with product and have always liked ORLY products but I am in love. If you have oily skin and issues with polish lasting then this is your holy grail!

This is all wrong. It IS a great product but check ALL the details. It’s labeled wrong everywhere. It is NOT 3 ounces. It is NOT .3 milliliters. It is only .3 ounces. It’s HALF the size of the regular bottle. Don’t be fooled and taken advantage of.

Lovely application brush, smooth formula and it really does help polish stay on longer. Felt like it thickened my nail too.

I use Lily and Fox nail wraps and could never get more than a few days out of them. I purchased this product based on some reddit suggestions and it is like a wonder product for wraps! I have previously been using gel base and top coat but this is the way to go and cuts the application time down too. Dry time on this is fast, no light curing needed. The product will dry with a very slight tacky flip. When you place the wrap, there is no movement or sliding like there is with a gel base coat. It goes on and you can smooth it out and file off the edges perfectly. If you are using nail wraps and not getting 2 weeks out of them I highly recommend trying these. I also use a diamond hard top coat and reapply that top coat ever 3 days to extend life (and I can wash the dishes and clean the house without rubber gloves too).

Use this before I apply nail wraps. Bonds great and reduces damage when I take the wraps off. Easy to apply. Definitely recommend.
