SO Thrilled To Have Purchased This Book At A Bargain thru Amazon!
Originally created the Holiday Study stocking from an issue of Cross Stitch & Country Crafts Magazine in 2000 for an elderly relative. After his death, recycled it for a young train lover by picking out the original name and re-naming it. Now, I have grandbabies and stepchildren for whom I need stockings.Looking forward to creating the Sugar and Spice, Toys and Games, Home For the Holidays, and North Woods stockings for our new additions. If you can find this book, JUMP on it! It's SO fabulous! I feel SO fortunate to have purchased it for $6 on Amazon. I'm not certain, but I believe I spent more than $6 for the one magazine I purchased in 2000. This book is a GEM!

All In One Place
30 years ago I started making cross stictch stockings for my 3 children. At the time, Cross Stitch magazine produced these patterns and I was charmed from the first pattern issued. I DID finish 3 stockings and still fill them today for my 3 adult children, ages 30, 28 & 26...LOL. I actually bought this as a gift for my daughter, who wants to make the same kind of stockings for her family, her daughter is one. Now, we'll have the whole series! The supplier got it to me in three days, eventhough Amazon's estimate was 10-14 days. These ARE by far the best Cross Stitch stocking patterns I've ever seen and I've looked a lot for my daughter, both on-line and in stores around town.

Great Cross-Stitch Christmas Stockings!
I just received my NEW book (1999) from Amazon and it is in excellent condition. The full-view cross-stitch Christmas stockings, which were first published by Better Homes & Gardens "Cross Stitch & Country Crafts", are amazing. My mother has done 5 of them. They are absolutely beautiful and make wonderful keepsakes. If you are looking for a particular stocking pattern, this book has the following themes: Holiday Workshop/Toys/Noah's Ark, Winter Night Window/Christmas Tree/Rocking Horse, Music Room/Piano/Base/Horns, Old-Time Kitchen, Cozy Living Room/Fireplace/Teddy Bear, Girl's Room/Tea Party/Baby Carriage/Doll House/Teddy Bears/Dolls, Sewing Room, Toys & Games, Old-Time Study/Antique Truck/Train/Clock. I only wish all of the magazine's awesome stockings were in this book (like the Doll and Fishing themes).

My favorite patterns for cross-stitched Christmas stockings
I have made three of these stockings and was working on my fourth when my house burned to the ground shortly before Christmas. I was not sure if I could ever replace this book since it was out of print. I decided to search for it on Amazon.com (not even remembering the exact name of the book). I am absolutely delighted to have found it (ordered two copies - a working copy that I will allow to fall apart and a copy that I will use merely as a reference). The copies I received were perfect, brand-new and I could not be happier! Soon I will start over making my stockings!

Great Book - Love the designs
I was once a subscriber to Cross Stitch & Country Crafts magazine. I always looked forward to the Holiday stocking issue and had hopes of getting the time to do them when my kids were a bit older. Then time stepped in and during numerous moves I lost the magazines. To find they have a book with the designs was a pleasant surprise and the price could not be beat. It arrived quickly. Now if I just had some extra hours in my day to get a few of the designs stitched.

So glad to have all the patterns in one place
I started stitching these stockings for family 17 years ago when the first pattern appeared in a cross stitch magazine. Now, when I am still adding members to my family it is harder and harder to find these patterns. Its so nice to have them all in one place. The perfect binding is difficult to work with on a daily basis so I usually just take the pattern I'm working with to Staples and get color copies made.

The charts are clear and look easy to follow and I can't wait to get started
This is a gorgeous book for Christmas Stockings. I was looking for something more unusual to make for my daughter than the charts and kits available in the UK.I saw a partially finished one of these on a blog and tracked the pattern down to this book. The charts are clear and look easy to follow and I can't wait to get started, the only problem I now have is which one to chooose!
