I initially make the mistake of thinking this was a PAIR of hoses due to the product photo. When delivered I found out they were showing the two ends of the same hose. Had to order another immediately to finish hooking up the washing machine. My mistake. Great hoses though!!

These High Efficiency Washing Machine Hoses are very well made and should last a long time. They should also help reduce concern of flooding from burst hoses; it's unlikely these will burst unless abused or used for a very long time. All washing machine installations should include water shutoff valves so the pressure can be relieved on the hoses when not in use anyway.The outside diameter of the hose is about 3/4 of an inch, give or take a few thousandths. The selling point of these hoses is that their larger diameter allows for faster water fill of the machine. However, faster fill does not necessarily increase machine efficiency.Furthermore, the large O.D. coupled with the stiffness of the braid reduce the flexibility, so there must be sufficient room for the hoses in your installation so that the hoses do not get kinked. I estimate that the I.D. looks to be about 7/16 inch. However, fast fill and large hoses are not part of industry guidelines for HE machines. The main point of HE machines is to use less water, thus minimizing the effects of fill time on efficiency. HE washers also use a specific high-efficiency detergent designed to work with lower water levels while still providing a powerful clean. (Lower water level means less fill time for any given hose.) HE washers save 6,000 gallons of water per year for an average family according to the EPA.Some of the negative reviews complain that only one hose was received when the photo seems as it is for 2 hoses. The description clearly states, in at least 2 places, that it is a package of 1 [ONE] hose. Reading the listing should clear this up; also see photo displaying one single hose. Another stated that the supplied hose washers are too thin and new sealing washers are needed. The hose washers supplied with my hoses were very thick, much thicker than typical garden hose washers. I found the washers to be more than adequate.

Last set of Fluidmaster hoses lasted just over 10yr before a slight weeping at the crimp but only when the washer ran. I didn't want 60" hoses, so I just got two separate 48" ones here, about the same total cost. Yes it is only one hose, comparing prices made it obvious. Only hand tighten and a slight extra turn with a wrench to make secure is all that's needed. Works just as it should, only I’m not using it for a washer, I use this for a water pump, and it works nicely! Only draw back is the seals and don’t put any weight on it because the metal will collapse on you.

So I had recently juice purchased a Magic Chef 2.0 portable Washing Machine and bought this to see if I could be to leave my Washing Machine a little further away from my kitchen but I couldn't unfortunately. Unfortunately, this here didn't connect well with this Washing Machine and the water kept seeping out of Sink. I ended up having to go with the ones givin. Maybe this will work with another one, maybe not, too bad.

My first impressions are positive...these are thick and appear well built. They have memory though, so once you uncoil them, they want to go back...it can make for an "interesting" installation...that's the only reason I removed a star.

We turn off the main water line when we're gone overnight, but my concern was with my old rubber hoses bursting while we were out shopping, which could be a disaster in a NY minute. These hoses are very sturdy and the tub fills faster - or at least it sounds like it is. I'm happy with the product and suspect they'll outlive me.

Well made I wish they were not so expensive but you get what you pay for. I used some copper Camco 60 degree adapters which took the strain off these hoses by changing the angle which in turn gave them more length. Now they are perfect. Great investment when you consider the potential water damage they could cause

Was told by my home inspector that these were the best hoses to use to prevent leaking. Very flexible for braided steel and tightened up leak free in minutes. Well worth the money to prevent the potential catastrophe that awaits by missing the 5 year change interval.

Feels very durable. Installed 2 months ago, no complaints so far. Please note one order contains only one hose, I didn’t see that, so had to order a second one separately. Not an issue since I have Amazon Prime.

After 2 months of searching I finally found the Fluidmaster HE hose and it works perfectly !! It has a 1/2 ID bore in both ends and the hose is also 1/2" ID which allows a very high flow of water. I would highly recommend it for any high flow applications.
