Mega Bloks Deluxe Dual-Blast Dragon Hunter

This is a great value -- lots of fun features, fun to build, and cheaper than an equivalent Lego brand kit would be.My Lego fanatic child reports that Megabloks makes the coolest kits but that the blocks don't attach quite as firmly as Legos do, thus I gave the product 4 stars rather than 5. Despite this complain he was sure excited to get this for Christmas.

I agree with the other reviewers. We own a LOT of Lego brand sets. I typically do not prefer MegaBloks, finding the bricks hard to put together and the quality not very high. However, this set is really great! Some of the bricks clicked together a little hard, but that has resulted in the fact that this toy really stays together quite well considering that it is a building set. While I love Legos, they are really not appropriate for my 5-year old to actually PLAY with once put together, as they completely crumble under any sort of play, and he is not particularly rough, while this has held together very nicely. As others noted, the sounds are motion (flight noises) and trigger (shooting noises) activated. The legs on the bottom flex to either form a stand or squeeze in to form a handle for grasping like a gun handle to make the toy fly. The projectile "bullets" really fly far too. The only negative that I will mention, as it is pretty extreme and may be a deal breaker for some, is that the plastic/rubber smell of this line of toys is AWFUL! It permeates as soon as you open the boxes, gets on your hands when you build and play with the toys, and in several weeks in only marginally better. This is obviously a materials quality issue, but since I paid almost nothing for this and my son loves it, I am not terribly upset about it. If you have allergy/scent issues though, it might be bothersome. The whole set is very cute. They were all massively reduced around the holidays both on Amazon and at Toys R Us, so I would make sure you are getting a sale price.

Christmas present for my nephew. At 4 there isn't a whole lot that they don't llike :) Made him happy !!

My grandson was thrilled to get it and put it together but some of the parts kept falling off. Not happy about that he is 10 years old and a lego champ.

My 13 year old son received this for Christmas. He loves it. The pieces fit together great and he has enjoyed playing with it for hours and hours. He loves that it has dragons and he says it's the best mega bloks vehicle that he's ever had. He also likes the sounds that it makes. I like that it has been very durable over the past month!

This was bought as a gift for my 8yr old and he loves it. No complaints on the product at all.

This was a Christmas gift for my 5yr old. I had to put it together for him. The blocks snap together very tight. This is actually a good thing as they also stay together. This has had a lot of play time over the past couple months and is holding up great.

My 6 year old son got this for xmas and loves it. His 8 year old brother helped him put it together. They both love playing with it and it seems to hold together better than most of the lego sets we have purchased in the past.
