Brabantia Mineral Finish newIcon Step Trash can, 5.3 Gal, White

This review won’t let me add pictures, which is telling. Arrived with a large dent in the side and the lid is noticeably off-center/lopsided. Also, the color is extremely disappointing and not as pictured—more like a matte beige with glitter flakes than gold. I can’t be bothered to bring this in for a return in these times because it’s too big, all I can recommend is that no one else buy this. It’s not the good quality as the price and marketing indicates.

The first can arrived badly dented. I had to ship it back. Another was sent it also arrived dented. I love the color but obviously they are not packed properly for shipping or they just easily dent. Disappointing. I was ill and not up to returning a second one. Every time I use it I see the dented lid.

Expensive side, but good lifetime trashcan

The first bin was delivered to another address, someone had a free bin. The second bin was eventually delivered. The box was the normal Brabantia box so no extra protection. The box appeared intact but the bin had a large dent in the side. We considered sending this back but it was all getting too complicated and I managed to pop the dent out but you can still see the damage. The metal is thin and clearly easily dented. Brabantia and Amazon need to get their packaging suitable for white van man. Last week we had a Brabantia ironing board delivered and that was also damaged and had to be returned for a refund. Again this was poorly packaged with just the plastic covering the item. I would never buy a Brabantia product again that had to be delivered to home. They are expensive items and I expect better.

It’s really sad that a bin can make me this happy! I absolutely love this product.1. It’s got a matte finish. I would constantly need to wipe our old, glossy bin and it still never looked as clean as I knew it was. This new bin definitely does not have this problem.2. We went for the mustard colour and it’s so beautiful. I never thought a bin could brighten up a room. I don’t even want to hide it, I’m happy to show it off in all its colourful glory.3. It’s really silent. Once you get your foot off the pedal, it returns to its original position quietly.4. Our old Brabantia bin was 12 years old before my boyfriend managed to crack it by accident. I’m pretty sure they last a lifetime so it’s worth every penny.Can’t recommend this bin highly enough. I am very happy with my purchase.

You paid how much?! It’s bin! But boy does it look slick. You will not be disappointed. Especially if you’ve recently had a new kitchen put in. If you’re into detail and want something that’s not a loud polished chrome or stainless then look no further

Not the quality of a Vipp bin but then it's a 3rd of the price. It's very light, so you end up kicking it across the floor if you don't press the pedal carefully. A full bag slides out easily, making it easy to empty. All in all, pretty happy.

Expensive for what it is but I paid it having seen it in a store and it looked gorgeous. A lovely texture so no finger marks. My only gripe is that there is no internal bin rest to rest the plastic inner when putting on a bag. I had one in my last same sized bin and it was so useful. Not cleaned inside yet so I can’t comment on that.
