Worth it!!!! Totally worth it!
The box came a little beat up, but that was recycled anyway. I love this! I have been waxing myself for 16 years and I usually have red bumps for a day, some ingrown hairs and in the last 2 years since I got pregnant, the skin under my arms and bikini gets ripped off. It's hard to wax if you are sweating and the room isn't cool enough. Typically I'll break my neck trying to pluck individual hairs under my arms, so I don't have to wax until the weather cools down... which means I'm nervous to wear anything without sleeves... as well, wax isn't super cheap, so I don't want to wax my legs till there is enough hair to make it worth it.It was pretty intense the first time I used this, bc I had been using a cream remover, which doesn't thin out my hair growth. So plucking many underarm and leg hairs did not feel good... that being said, it was only slightly worse than waxing and possibly went more quickly. I could also start and stop as I please and not worry about wax temperature...I just used it for the second time today for small touch ups, it's been exactly a week. Super easy, didn't hurt much, as there are fewer hairs. It was great!!! My underarms and legs are fairly smooth and look great!!!

Not worth the price
This does work. Kind of... It removes a lot of hair, but it really leaves a lot behind. The light on it is really only good for showing all it misses. It does a fantastic job on underarms! To me, it wasn't worth it to spend $100 just to not have to shave my underarms. Everywhere else, it just doesn't grab the fine hairs and also leaves probably half of the courser noticeable ones as well. It does a decent job if you epilate first, then go over it with the shaving attachment after. Epilation alone by no means gets your skin smooth and it certainly doesn't last a week, let alone weeks. I also have a lot of ingrown hairs on my legs now. I honestly can't say this was the cause but I've never had them before. I did like that I could epilate with it plugged in and charging - very handy. I never had to worry about running out of juice. It's not great for use in creases or sensitive areas though because of its large size. Maybe a smaller attachment should be included for smaller areas. I ended up returning mine. As I said, it really does a great job on underarms but that wasn't enough for me to pay $100 for it. This was my very first return on here and I gotta say I love Amazon! They sure make it easy!

Even men can use this device, really.
I am a man and I really do use this product. I have been taking a medication for years that has the unfortunate side effect of extra body hair. I had the situation develop where my private parts were starting to look like Chewbacca. Not the sexy look I was going for.I originally started with plucking out the bothersome hairs which turned into man-scaping. I would spend about 1-2 hours a week removing hairs with tweezers. That was a lot of work and a pain in the neck. The wife did like the results though. I made the decision to speed up the process and searched for a hair remover.There aren't any hair removers marketed to men that I saw. I stayed away from the bright pink ones and focused on devices that were rated high and were color neutral. I knew that based on all the reviews I read that I wanted ceramic discs. This model was on sale and had an extra instant coupon - about 50% off in total. I have owned several Philips Norelco products and always liked the quality of their devices.Does this device work? Yes it does. Is it noisy? Yes it is, think of a low tone weed wacker. Does it hurt? Yes it does. The pain is similar to pulling off a bandaid, it hurts but goes away quickly. Sometimes there is blood if a follicle is removed. After hair removal is complete, wash the area with some gentle soap and water, dry, and apply some skin soothing lotion. It really isn't that bad or scary, in my option.A few notes for best results: the unit works best on a flat surface, going against the growth direction (grain) and at a 90 degree angle. Which is a challenge with the area I was working on. Hair needs to be in the 3-4 mm length for the best chance of being pulled out cleanly. If it is too short the hair may break or not be grabbed. Too long and the discs can't get a grip on it. Any loose skin must be held taut while the discs are in contact with it. The discs spin at a good pace. The discs also have small nubs that produce the vibrations to make the hair lying down bounce up and get caught by the discs. One thing you don't want to do is leave the head lingering in one spot too long since the nubs also exfoliate the skin really well leading to rug burn and discomfort. The amount of pressure applied also determines the amount of discomfort felt later. There is a light on the device that really helps with seeing what you are doing and locating any missed hairs.After using this device for a couple weeks, I am happy with my purchase and the results after using it, smooth. Ideally I would prefer permanent hair removal but that isn't possible. My time investment has been reduced to 15 minutes a week. Does it get every hair? No, there are a few that are missed. But those few that are left can easily be plucked out.
