Very detailed. Reads like a college text book. Very informative with lots of pictures and how to’s. A good read over winter months.

Espalier isn’t for everyone’s situation, but I’m excited to try this for my garden. The book describes many different ways this technique can be used to grow trees. Personally, I’m designing an apple tree privacy hedge, similar to how they grow grapevines. Can’t wait for spring!

Very well written with plenty information and pictures. Very good quality. Unfortunately not aimed at the southern hemisphere (where I reside) but still a good reference book.

I purchased this book as a gift along with an espalier apple tree and the illustrations and photos are extremely helpful, as is the detailed text. There do not appear to be very many books dedicated to the espalier fruit tree subject and this book appears to be an excellent option for those wanting to try their efforts at this method.

This book is poorly written as a how-to guide. It constantly uses terms that are not defined, no description and no instructive pictures. It repeatedly uses unnecessarily complicated terms. Assimilated surfaces!!!!! Leaves. Just say leaves.“Using the appropriate pruning method” what is the appropriate pruning method? That is wha t I bought the book for.Fruiting shoots, fruiting canes, fruiting spurs, fruiting scion - are poorly describe with no pictures and more terms that are not defined. I felt like I was reading in circles.Very disappointed.

Book is very thorough, covering every aspect of espaliering and accompanying photos and drawings only enhance the text.

This is a Christmas present. I hope it is what was req on Saturdayuired. As yet I cannot comment.

Great book with clear photos, line drawings and useful information. Particularly if you've got hooked on training fruit trees and want an all round instruction manual.Well worth purchasing.

A good book for someone interested in the subject although I felt that the illustrations and photographs let it down a little.
