Majority Willingham DAB/DAB+ Digital FM Radio - Bluetooth Wireless - CD Player - Hi-Fi Speaker System - Remote Control – AUX-In & USB MP3 Play – Colour Screen (Oak)

This is an exceptional radio/cd player - great sound, very easy to use and program stations, easy to use cd player, and also bluetooth and other functions. It is also a very good-looking radio, sturdy, well-made and finished and looks classy and expensive.Apart from the sound quality and range of functions, I was particularly impressed with how easy everything was to set up and program, when I normally have to ask someone else to do this for me.I have another, older Majority radio/cd that has been giving great service for a while, but this one is even better. Would recommend this to anyone, and plan to buy at least one more as a gift.

Liked the DAB & FM radio in particular managed to obtain over 120 Dab stations in very good sound mainly from Crystai Palace transmitter.I can say that this part of the Willingham has performed very well indeed.As regards the cd side I have found this to be unstable from time to time either refusing to play or play and then produce many and various electronic type noises such as bumps , clicks. However, I have found away to clear these noisey sounds without performing a factory reset.Imust stress that this problem is intermittent and that most times the cd performs very well.Overall this in relation to its price is abargain but would advise the manufactuer to look into the problem with the cd side and correct it. I believe other customers have also pointed to a similar problem with the cd side of the Willingham.Let me finally say this is a well thought out unit which could be considered excellent when the cd side has been fixed.Great sounds on both radio and cd .MA

This really is decent value. Well made, attractively presented, more than adequate for my dining kitchen. I like the permanently on time display too! Very easy set up, reasonable remote control, excellent digital reception, looks good: relatively large - gives a good sound, but check depth if using on a shelf? Very impressed with this Majestic made in Cambridge product.

Lots of features in this very good value radio and CD player which also plays music from a Bluetooth device or USB stick. I wanted to listen to VHF broadcasts in addition to DAB and the other sources. The sound is good but can boom at some frequencies, and in some locations (on shelving). Initially I found the setup fiddly, especially the presets. Beware changing mode from DAB to VHF radio as there can be a very large increase in volume. A range of equalizer settings are available. I found the 'normal' setting best - watch out for the 'classical' setting which causes distortion and excessive booming.

Very easy to set up. Just plug in and the radio finds all the stations you need. Connected my phone via Bluetooth and was good to go straight away. Sound is great. Plus it’s very pleasing on the eyes - I got the Oak colour, fits in to my decor perfectly.

Was bought as a present for my fathers 91st birthday to replace an ancient CD player. Consequently it was a few weeks before we could give it to him as we live a 12hr Ferry crossing and 300 mile drive away. On arriving and unboxing, the DAB radio was easy to set up and we enjoyed listening that night. Next day father wanted to put on a CD, but the player would only accept the disc about a third of the way in, tried to play but then rejected it. It did it for every disc we tried. Huge disappointment but at least Amazon refunded on return. I really hope this return does not affect my Amazon account standing is it was a shoddy, substandard item. Now bought him a Pioneer system instead - that has excellent quality.

I am replacing a 30-year-old radio cassette player because I no longer get a decent FM signal. I chose this item because of the features (DAB, FM, CD and Bluetooth), its simple looks, the price and the reviews. The unit was easy to set up. I only needed the instruction book to learn how to set up the station presets.Initially I was disappointed by the sound. It didn’t seem very loud and there seems to be way too much bass – even on the speech setting. I have fiddled with the equalizer settings and am now satisfied enough to keep the unit. I mainly use it for listening to speech radio. If you are particular about the quality of your music, you might prefer another model.I do think that the unit is let down by the remote control. It looks and feels cheap and is maybe too small. It does do the most important thing however, which is to switch the radio on and off and select preset radio stations using the numeric keypad.So, 4 stars for something that does the job but doesn’t excel.

I was looking for a CD player with good sound quality and this definitely has great sound. A massive improvement on my previous Sony. It’s easy to operate and navigate without overly complex instructions. I like the style and presentation of the unit itself. It looks good. I am also really pleased with the DAB mode. Previously I’ve been unable to get DAB stations on my CD player because of the lack of decent aerial. The DAB function’s sound and ability to find and list stations is excellent. Only small negative is the DAB slide hasn’t picked up station information to display - I couldn’t work out from the instructions why this is the case. Overall, really pleased with purchase. The best CD sound I’ve experienced with a player.
