Great nonstick skillet & excellent value
This is a good value. There are certainly better quality pans around, but this one works just fine. Super easy to clean. I would definitely buy this again.

Pits appear in nonstick surface after 3 years
I have been using the 8" version of this pan for over 3 years. It's been a great pan, but the nonstick coating has recently failed, so it's time to replace it. I might get the exact same pan.CONDITION AFTER 15 MONTHS OF USEMy first 2 photos show it after 15 months of almost daily use. The non-stick surface is still perfect. The black coating has worn off the rivets on the inside, but this doesn't bother me. On close examination, the handle has a very slight amount of play where it is riveted to the pan, but it's not something I would notice when using it, and it doesn't bother me. It may have been this way when new, but I didn't notice.CONDITION AFTER 3.5 YEARS OF USEThe third photo shows the pits in the nonstick coating that have started to appear recently. On average, I probably used this pan 2 out of 3 days since I've owned it.PROPER CAREI have never used a metal utensil on it, only my Matfer Bourgeat Spatula. which I also love (perfect for eggs) or a wooden spatula. I have never put it in the dishwasher, so I don't know how this might affect it. I wash it with the rough side and the soft side of a plastic scrubber sponge.I have never used it on high heat.DOMED BOTTOM ISSUEThe bottom of my pan is indeed slightly domed, about 1mm (I used a flat object to observe this), so oil/butter does slide to the edges. This does not bother me at all. If I needed the entire bottom surface of the pan to be evenly coated in fat, I wouldn't be using a nonstick pan. As soon as I add my food, if I feel the need, I can move it around a bit to spread the fat around, but I don't even do this when frying eggs.. I just add a little oil, which rolls around, mostly toward the edges, heat it up, and add the eggs. No big deal. No sticking. I have never tried to cook in it without oil, but I'm pretty sure I could.OTHER COMMENTSI have never paid any attention to the red heat indicator, so I can't comment on that.

One dandy pan! Three snaps and a smiley face!
My goodness this is a great little fry pan! So easy to use and to clean. I have once again begun to make my world famous scrambled eggs for my wife and once she has left for work the bacon and sausage go in and then more scrambled eggs. When finished I leave the pan to sit, let the egg leavings dry and simply brush them out with my hand. Amazing. A quick rinse and wipe and its ready to go again. Some have complained about the little red thingy in the center not working and I can't imagine why it would be needed anyway. Put a drop of water in the pan, if it spits and jumps, its ready. The grill pattern in the red thingy fades and the thingy becomes closer to solid red. Not much of a change, maybe they missed it. I think its more of a selling gimmick than anything useful.I've used metal utensils, carefully, to turn sausage and bacon, but wood or plastic for anything more aggressive. I think it is asking a bit much to go whole hog with metal utensils on any pan that is coated with anything. If the coating holds up after 6 or 8 months I'll gladly change the rating to five stars. Glad I bought it, wish there was a 9" version. That would be perfect for me.EDIT: Well, a little longer than six months but I've changed the rating to 5 stars. Here it is January 2015 and this little pan is still going strong. Almost daily it is still used for bacon or sausage and eggs. It has served us well for grilled cheese sandwiches and even small portions of hash browns late at night. The other day I threw a big wad of butter, garlic and about 15 shrimp in the pan and made my home version of shrimp scampi. There is just the tiniest little nick in the coating at the center next to the red heat indicator thingy that is never used. Again, that seems to be more marketing tool than something actually useful. Anyway, if the finish begins to go and things begin to stick this little pan has proven itself and will be replaced with another. I have taken steel wool to the bottom a couple of times to clean off cooked on grease and bring back the new shine. Maybe another edit will appear in 2016.

Mostly right; edge isn't awesome
This review is strictly from the perspective of making an omelette Jacques Pepin-style. For the record, I use wooden chopsticks to hold in the pan while shaking & making the omelette, and then use a metal knife or fork just to help with final edge folding (trying not to mar the non-stick surface). I made my first omelette with it this morning.Good characteristics:- Size is perfect for a 3-egg omelette.- Non-stick surface is good - at least at the start. I'll maybe come back later with a wear update.- Rubber handle is an unexpected nice choice. I make my omelettes with a somewhat hot pan, and so after making a few omelettes in a row when cooking for guests.- Weight is about what you'd expect. Maybe a little lighter than a multi-layer core pan.Neutral:- Heat dispersion seemed fine. I felt it didn't quite get as hot as I wanted it today; however, I cooked on medium (vs. high) today, and that could have been me, not the heat transfer of the pan. I'll consider an update later.Negative:- There is a slight angular change that isn't *quite* an "edge", but is definitely not a gradual arc of change from the bottom to the side of the pan. I struggled a bit with that today. Had I looked at this pan in-person (vs. online) and seen another pan next to it with a more smooth / gradual transition to the final edge of the pan, I'd have probably chosen that one. This wasn't "fatal" - I could still bang the handle to get the omelette to move to the edge, but not as smoothly as my Cuisinart French Classic triple-ply (which is 3x the price of the T-Fal).So: A very slightly flawed serviceable workhorse.

A good nonstick pan
This is a good frying pan. However you do need to clean, season, and then reclean the pan before first use. And it doesn’t come with these instructions - I only knew about the process as I had seen this type of pan reviewed by Americas Test Kitchen just before ordering this. I found the steps by searching “season t-fal nonstick”.I only use silicone implements with this, and the pan gets used several times a week. And it works just as well now as it did when I bought it a couple of months back.

Cooks eggs well
Good small egg pan. The thick bottom works great with our IR ceramic stove because it holds a more steady temperature. I originally got it to use with an induction hot plate but it gets used mostly for eggs. It's a little too small for a 3 egg omelet. The T-fal platinum non-stick seems to be one of the better ones. I also got the 12.5" chef's pan. The silicone rubber handles are comfortable. These induction base pans are a bit heavier than the basic all aluminum pans but that's a fair trade off when food cooks better.

Good set
Pans are heavy duty, firm grip. Do not use metal utensils, they will leave marks on the bottom.

Good product / packaging could have been better
This replace a great little pan that I use every other day for sautés. I no I will be happy with it but just want to mention that it was delivered with just a couple layers of plastic wrapped around it. No box or extra padding. Found out a little unusual as Amazon usually does a better job. Fortunately, it doesn't appear to have been damaged.

小さい
サイズをちゃんと見なかった私のせいですが、価格と大きさを考えると、コスパは悪いです。

Not compatible with induction stovetop
The seller klaims that this product is compatible with induction stovetop. But it's not, so I have to return it

Great little pan.
It's a great little frying pan. Makes great eggs, which was why I purchased it. Easy to clean. I have not tried any high heat cooking with it, but it is not recommended for that use. No steak for it.😁
