2016 and fell in LOVE with this curling iron brush
I bought this in Nov. 2016 and fell in LOVE with this curling iron brush!!! I have very fine straight hair that would NOT hold a curl more than 30 min. at best. Everything else I used fried my hair and broke off the ends of my hair. I would need maybe 1 haircut in 8 months. I started using this and my hair started looking actually silky! Then it stopped breaking and is at my shoulders for the first time since I was in my teens. I am 57. I Love Love Love the bristles because it actually grabs my hair and holds it without pulling it out. But here is the rub... and it's something that they should fix. The bristles do get VERY BRITTLE and break off. Nine months I guess isn't toooo bad, But since 1/2 are gone it's very easy to get burned! OUCH! This may be due to the fact that I forget to turn it off quite frequently, and it gets super hot. So I take some blame. That is another thing I wish they would fix or sell replacement bristles. It would be better if it had a auto shut off. I am going to order 2 now because I read that they are being discontinued. I wish they would just fix this instead. I can't find another one with this size barrel, the right temp with Ionic tourmaline heat, and works to lift, give body and curl and without harming my hair - and all in one unit!

Styles and Shines hair!
I am very happy with this! I am fine straight hair that does not hold curl well. I lift a section of my hair up and put the hot brush right next to the scalp/roots and with tension (the hair is not rolled around it, the ends are just hanging down) pull roll slightly to create the tension (pull) on the hair for about 10 seconds to give the roots a good lift! Then I just roll from the ends all the section of hair rigStyleht up tight to the roots and hold that for about 10 seconds and move to the next piece. I do the roots first for extra volume. It gives my hair volume and curls the ends under. It you wanted all over curls, I don't think this would work... at least in my hair! It might if you wanted a very loose relaxed curl... On me it's more for volume and finishing the ends (you could flip them up or down or hold brush at an angle to frame around your face. I think it's just as quick as using hot rollers, but with less curl. It would also work great to smooth frizzed hair or just give you a more polished look in a few minutes!

it works MUCH better than my InStyler at giving volume and big curls
This hot brush styler has become my go-to for daily styling. It has replaced my CHI flat iron, my curling irons and my InStyler. In fact, it works MUCH better than my InStyler at giving volume and big curls. My hair is naturally curly and my routine was to blow it dry as straight as I can and then flat iron to get out all the kinks and make it smooth - this worked but left my hair stick straight and looking fried. I've tried so many other hair appliances trying to find one that would make it straight but leave it bouncy, voluminous and shiny. I ordered the Hot Tools brush after reading so many great reviews and being unable to find it at Ulta, Walgreens, or any of the other local stores. I'm so glad I bought it! After blow-drying my hair I take small sections and wrap them around this, using the same technique you would if you were blow drying with a round brush. The only difference is I start at the root and hold this brush several seconds at the root so it will get out the kinks closest to my head and give volume at the roots. Then I wind it in sections, hold 15 seconds and let go. I repeat this process all over my head, which takes me about 15 minutes because I have a LOT of hair. The results are really amazing - my hair feels soft, looks shiny, has volume and bounce and I get several DAYS out of the style. On days 2 and 3 I will touch up any sections, which takes maybe 3 minutes. I would definitely repurchase this. Also, just for comparison, I looked at the current hot brush styler by Hot Tools that is available at Ulta and I do not recommend that one - the bristles are silicon and I do not think would hold the hair as well; the reviews on that brush are underwhelming and it's more expensive than this model. Very happy with purchase & highly recommend!

Really like the concept, not a fan of the longterm quality
I really wanted to give this more stars because I do love it and have almost used it every day since I purchased it 8 months ago. However, the bristles started falling out like crazy about 3 months ago and now my hair has a hard time hanging on to the brush. If I try and hold it on there I always get burned. I love the concept and it made my hair easily look good for the first few months. I wish the bristles were more sturdy. And I will warn people about cleaning it, I got pieces of the bristles stuck in my hands like splinters multiple times when trying to gently clean it, they broke off in my hand and we're extremely hard and painful to remove. I will be looking for a better quality version of this brush, because the concept is perfect for me.

Short bristles make this easier to use than a curling iron.
I bought this as a replacement for a hot-air curling brush. I prefer this because there is no noise. It is NOT for drying, I use a hairdryer for that. I wanted something to restyle or refresh my hair when I haven't washed it. I have fine, thin, chin-length hair. I barely mist my hair, put in a tiny bit of product, such as mousse or heat protector, brush that thru, then style with this brush. The barrel is slightly over 1 1/2 inches, so it's pretty big. This would not be good for short or layered hairstyles. This size just curls under the ends of my hair and straightens out where I've slept on it, it does NOT make tight curls. Pros are: the bristles, they are short so there is no tangling and there is one row of hard bristles; the heat, gets hot enough to curl but not burn. The Cons: cord is stiff; the on/off switch is right where your thumb is, so it's easy to accidentally turn off. (I solved this by covering it with tape while in the ON position. I always un-plug when I'm finished anyway, so this works for me.

Great quality, heats up fast
Great quality, heats up fast, easy to use. I tend to burn myself with hot tools, did not happen with this one. Gives volume at the roots and refreshes the do in the morning. Leaves hair nice and shiny. The only downside is it did not replace my straightener as I had hoped but I blame my hair texture and a shorter haircut. The ends just did not lay properly. I imagine if my hair was not as thick or was longer this would not have been an issue and I would not have to go in with a flat iron to fix the ends. It worked like magic on my friend's hair and her is thinner. So for thinner hair 100% recommend. For thicker hair might not complety replace the flat iron but still is a great tool to have.

Excellente Styling Tool !
If I could give 6 Stars .. I would !! This is the styling tool I've been looking for, for ever ! It smooths your hair gently and quickly, it helps take away any frizz and leave your hair shiny too :-) I have a drawer full of styling tools that haven't worked for me, not because they were bad just that they didn't do what I wanted them to do with the type of hair I have. I will recommend this heat styler to anyone !
