Ok for the Price, but not a Long Term Kind of Couch
I purchased this piece at the beginning of May and while I originally liked it, I would not likely buy it again. First, the pieces arrive in three giant boxes. It took me about an hour from the point I got it in my door to the time I was lugging all the boxes to the garbage to have it set up and ready to go. Assembly is super easy and cushions seem to be firm and comfortable. The first issue we noticed was when someone seated on the end of the couch leaned against the end arm, his elbow went through the wood underneath. There are two versions of this couch- one comes with a cushion on the very end arm, while this one does not have a cushion there. This has proven to be very annoying...you can't lean against it with any force because the wood breaks, and without the cushion you need a pillow on this end or the arm digs into your side. It's not a big deal since the other side of the couch has the lounging portion, but after awhile it can be frustrating.Next, after three months, the springs in the cushions that we sit on most often are kind of digging into our backsides. Since I tend to lean a lot against the uncushioned edge, the middle seat cushions have bunched up to a point that you kind of feel yourself sliding into the bottom of the couch if you try to sit for any length of time. Also, sitting on the ottoman is more like "perching"- it is not the kind of piece where a kid over the age of 8 can flop down on it without fearing that they're going to end up on the floor. As an adult, I try to avoid sitting on it because I don't want to break what feels like fragile wood. It is exclusively designed as a foot rest- not improvisational seating. The color is largely true to the picture, although "microfiber suede" is kind of a stretch as a description. It's not a material that feels particularly great (not bad either) but it does not feel true to the term "microfiber". The back seat cushions are soft and while most adhere to the couch with Velcro, this is a nice feature because you don't always have to adjust the cushions to make the couch look nice.So...bottom line, if you want the convenience of freight delivery, you don't mind a few minor annoyances, and you want to be able to take the couch apart or switch which side the lounger is on...this is an ok product for the price. If, like me, you want to spend $900 and not worry about breaking the couch after only having it for three months, you might consider something else.

Great Couch - But Not Happy with UPS Freight
I would rate the couch a 4.5 out of 5 but the overall experience a 2. That's me being nice.I love the couch! It is as described, great quality, etc.But I do have 1 bone to pick. UPS Freight. Free shipping on the couch comes along with having to deal with the shippers... who tried to charge me over $120 TWICE because of their own mistakes. First, I confirmed with them way prior to my move date, that I would not be at the original address listed if they were to deliver past a certain date (there was a 2 week window), the UPS Freight lady named Janet, said it was no problem and they would deliver to my new address. They come back a few days before my delivery date to say it's actually not okay to move the delivery address and if I wanted it delivered to my new address (of which, the date we scheduled the delviery for, I would be at the new address), that I would need to pay the $125 fee. Mind you the delivery locations were only 4 miles apart from each other. After phone calls with the seller and shipper - they finally agreed that they would not charge ME (the customer) for their gap in communication. But wait, it doesn't end here. THEN on the scheduled delivery date (of which I had to take off work for in order to be home..) THEY DIDN'T EVEN SHOW UP. No doorbell. No phone call. I just sat and waited. Around 8:30pm I figured they must've forgotten about me. The following day I get a phone call saying they showed up and no one was home. Clearly I was annoyed because I made a point to BE home and STAY home in order to bring the couch from the curb into my home. Well, they said sorry about that - we should've called, our apologies, etc and asked to reschedule the delivery date. Which we did. And I took another day off work. This time I watched the street like a hawk and low and behold, they still did not attempt to call me to alert me they were here. I went outside and guess what? One of the larger boxes was so very damaged, I could see the couch protruding from the box. Mind you it was also extremely filthy just by lifting it up once, my hands turned black with dirt. I'm not even being sarcastic or dramatic. F-I-L-T-H-Y. I decided to write that it was subject to inspection, as it appeared the couch may or may not have been damaged similarly to the box. So I carry the extremely heavy, extremely dirty boxes into my home with my roommate's help. We inspect the couch and it was a bit dirty on the bottom corner where it was sticking out from the box as it came off the delivery truck, there was even a crack in the wood frame, but I decided instead of sending it back and waiting for a new one, I would fix it myself and install a metal clamp to insure no further damage from use.About a week and a half later I get a bill in the mail from UPS Freight for $140 for a "re-delivery" charge. A. they never mentioned a word about any charge on the phone when they called to say they couldn't reach me on my original delivery date (which was clearly a mistake on their part as I was home all day) and B. To just mail an invoice for something THEY messed up??I'm so overly annoyed with the entire situation I'm almost in disbelief. I'm not even someone who writes review online. I'm really not. But i had to go out of my way to share this story, because you should know what you may be getting yourself into.It might just be easier to purchase from a store or at least through a shipper that knows what they're doing.
