My wife has shot mine and decided it should be hers so now it looks like we will buy another one

This crossbow was everything I expected. Before buying I researched many different crossbows and decided on the ten point. My wife has shot mine and decided it should be hers so now it looks like we will buy another one. She and I both enjoy deer hunting. We both like the Acudraw I'm 70 and she has a back injury so drawing a bow manually is out of the question. The Acudraw helps to keep us in the deer stands and that is orth what extra the Ten Point cost.

Good bow until it breaks

Good bow until it breaks.....after 20 or 30 shots. And then you are screwed. Customer service is non existent and they don't care about customers.

TEN POINT better shape up on QUALITY CONTROL

Very disappointed in the quality of the scope. The scope does not match the crossbow quality. Overall happy with crossbow quality, but feel quality control could be better. I received this crossbow package with a scope that was not able to turn dial on led's, and when I did turn a little on the on&off dial I noticed LED's that were not sharp dots, and they had halo's around each dot , . Also flight groove in bow barrel, a small nick, no instructional DVD. Returned this bow, am waiting for another, Ten Point will have to go some to impress me, especially their QUALITY CONTROL

Really like the bow

Really like the bow. Would get Accudraw 50 next time instead. Cocking is noisy and takes too long. Think I could live with the 50.

Probably the best crossbow on the market. A retired Army Ranger/Spec Ops veterans review.

I will start off by saying this crossbow is one SOLID piece of hunting/survival kit. The frame is made of molded aircraft aluminum, and dipped in an epoxy camo finish probably 3 or 4 times at least. This adds a little heft to the crossbow, not unlike a kitted out CAR 15 or M4. The size and feel are very similar, holding it in your hands, with the weight being slightly higher on the crossbow. The limbs are very well made, similar to higher end bows today, albeit shorter. As are the cams and cables. The railing is snug in the receiver, and it too, is top grade. As anyone with extensive weapon experience can tell you, no animal is more tricky to tune, configure, etc. than the temperamental crossbow. But with a little time, patience, and love, it can become a silent shooting tack driver that puts food on the table year after year. Many complain about this and that on their crossbows, so after many years of trial and error, this is what I did.First of all, assembly, nothing is more crucial to performance and longevity than doing it right the first time. I put a drop or two of superglue on all bolts, screws, etc. Including the scope ring screws. This prevents loosage in the field, and keeps everything tight shot after shot. The string tension is tremendous, and the aftershock can throw the whole machine off with loosened screws. Some people complained about sight picture on this model due to the low height of the mounting rail, I cured this by installing a dovetailed mounting rail on top of the original and drilled a hole on top of that, allowing me to put quick release M16 style mounting brackets on and off with day sights and night scopes attached. The modern rail also allows for mounting most modern optics available today. I have the Ten Point string stopper rods attached, coupled with LimbSaver "pine cones", two per limb, 4 total. That makes it whisper quiet, looks good, and kills vibration. Add Butler Creek scope caps and a good sling, and you're good to go.This model is compact, and puts out ALOT of power. Therefore oil the rails with "Scorpion Venom" lube or other rail lube about every ten shots or so, to avoid friction on string, servings, and bolts. I put Meguires Tech car Wax on and wipe it off when not in use, creating a very nice coating on it, that is slick and protective. Also solid, well made nocks, are a must for your bolts, lest the strings power cuts your bolt in two on release. Carbon fiber bolts work great, also, for large game Easton Full Metal Jackets really penetrate. They hit a little lower, due to the added bolt weight, but boy do they hit hard! Broadhead wise, I use G5 crossbow heads, and Brax heads. One hit, often instant kills. 10-15 foot drops on deer 145 lb- 200 lb here in Michigan. This crossbow, when tuned up, will "Robin Hood" your bolts, guaranteed. So be careful sighting in (aim at a different location, each shot.) Well made and accurate, you can't go wrong with this one. Worth every penny!

No BS

very impressive power. I have owned a few x bows over the years, parker, Horton and Barnett, all decent x bows. had hunting success with all of them. I enjoy the sport so much I decided I wanted a top line x bow. I had to save up, not a rich man. I am glad I did, this x bow is very very accurate, quiet and fast. out of the box (and assembled) it shot so well at 30yds, I had to aim a little off center to keep from hoodin the bolts. after a couple evenings practice and fine tuning, hitting a 4" bullseye at 60 was something none of by buds would even bet a beer against. first deer kill was about 35 yds, walking away from me at ground level. the bolt entered in front of the right ham, and exited out the lower neck between the fronts. the bolt went clear thru plus another 20 yds and stuck in a oak tree. It bloodshot the neck so bad it looked like the deer was shot with a rifle. No BS, it impressed me and I've killed a hell of a lot of deer in 35+ years of hunting. words of caution.. don't use any kind of illuminated knock on your bolts, even crossbow rated ones. The first one I tried shattered and the string split the bolt. Also beware of mechanical heads opening prematurely. A fixed, solid machined three blade broad head does an excellent job. V.P.A's if you can find em.cons: the stock was a little too short for me, I'm 5 10 180 and it felt awkward getting comfortable eye relief. I installed a aftermarket shotgun recoil pad to gain about 1 1/2" and that did the trick. also recommend the string stop for sure and maybe the bowjax if noise is an issue. I hope this helps someone, I generally don't write reviews, but ten point deserves this one.Don CElliston, va

Still performs flawlessly with no issues whatsoever and highly satisfied knowing I bought a top end model and brand ...

Bought this from another vendor last year but that's since been removed and wanted to give reviewers a heads up as my experience with this xbow. This was the 1st one I've ever bought and got it for a $800ish deal on here, wanting a brand known for top customer service and quality. Right out of the box the scope was already sighted in and worked marvelous; I was shooting up to 50 yards with broadheads accurately.Still performs flawlessly with no issues whatsoever and highly satisfied knowing I bought a top end model and brand knowing if I ever run into issues I can count on great customer service.
