RCA RFR160-Purple Fridge, 1.6 Cubic Feet, Perfect for Skincare, Foods, Medications-Purple

So far I absolutely love this little fridge. It's perfect for keeping snacks cold ( and well out of the way of midnight fridge raiders that like to take your food). I also use it to store sodas, tea and beer. It manages to keep things ice cold. I haven't really tried the freezer. I set it to "4" and so far it seems like a perfect medium. I honestly don't mind if it doesn't freeze anything, because I don't plan on using it for that.I was a little hesitant to purchase initially after reading some of the negative reviews, but so far I don't seem to be encountering any issues. It's the perfect size: fits right in my nightstand below my Keurig. It would be great for a dorm room. The fact that it is purple is an added bonus. Honestly, it was the reason I had to have it: it matches my purple room and purple Keurig. It was a must have. So cute! I wonder how I ever lived without it.As for the noise...it's not that bad. It's noticeable, but tolerable. Most of the time the compressor barely kicks on. When it does, you hear an initial "click" and then a "whooshing" as it does its thing. It can make a humming sound, but it's more of a white noise hum that you get used to after a few days. Not sure why other people have complained about it. I am probably the most nit-picky person ever--not to mention a very light sleeper--and I have no issues with the compressor.As for the condition of the shipping box: really RCA? That all you have to send it in? Flimsy box with two small styrofoam inserts? Mine arrived with a nice fat dent. Thankfully it was in the back, and not visible once put in my cabinet. But...still. What's the deal? I am not lowering the rating because the shipping condition. It's not the fridge's fault...it's the manufacturer. I am not even gonna try and ship it back...over a dent...in the back.Overall I really like this little fridge. I will update this if something changes. But, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase it. Most of the low ratings are based on the shipping conditions, not the actual product...which isn't fair.

The media could not be loaded. The color was perfect. I had to get it! I love how easy it was to set it up. Just slide and done. It gets really cold and doesn’t need a hour to get cold. Worked immediately.

Definitely worth the money!! I just got it today there was no damage in shipping as I’ve seen on other reviews so I was worried but came in prefect condition. Noise isn’t bad I barely hear it. It kicks on every once in awhile but it’s a low noise. Very easy to install just plug it in put the drip tray under the freezer and slide in the shelf. Temperature seems to be good it says keep it at 4 for the first 24 hours then adjust so I’ve done that. If I end up having issues I’ll come back and update this but so far so good!! I’d definitely recommend buying one

It is the perfect size for an office. The quality is definitely good and I love the color! I use it for drinks and my lunch at work. It is a great price for the quality fridge that you get. It is extremely quiet. Definitely recommend this mini fridge if you're looking for one!

As others have noted, the first one arrived damaged. The top and bottom corners were smashed on the rear, right side of the unit. :( The second one is a charm. Works great and keeps things very cold when it is only set on 2. Very quiet- I hear the compressor turn on now and then but it isn't bothersome. Perfect size to fit under my desk at work. Now there is room in the fridge for my lunch everyday!

I really wanted this fridge. I had a white model, still in box, but just had to have purple. The RCA is a lovely medium shade, exactly like the product picture. Be careful that you buy it from Amazon, not a 3rd party, because when it was out of stock for a year I had to buy from a 3rd party and they sent me an Igloo, not the RCA.So, I think I got a newer model. The ice tray is larger, and has a clear door. I couldn't find the temp control knob so I want to let buyers know that it is hidden in the back of the fridge, among the electrical components. Inconvenient, but the ice tray being larger is an acceptable trade-off if your setup allows you to access the back easily.

Refrigerator finally arrived but the cardboard box looked like something had leaked. Refrigerator doesn't work at all. Looks great in my room but that's it. Weird smell came from it and I heR a random click now and then but has not cooled whatsoever.

This little refrigerator is awesome! First, what came was a Frigidaire, not an RCA, which is a good thing! Considering some of the complaints on the RCA. Package comes in the refrigerator box itself so you can see what it is when it arrives. Beautiful purple color. At first I though it looked like it had a few minor scratches, not enough to send back but still true to some of the reviews. However, it was the plastic protective coating that peels off. Refrigerator was in perfect condition! It works great and keeps everything cold! I would highly recommend this product.

I love this fridge!! It’s so amazing for my room at camp. I have actually had 2 other friends purchase this same item. This fridge is quiet and works great!! The price is reasonable also. Faster than expected arrival.The second fridge came in badly damaged. What do I do about this?

This is the cutest fridge!I was worried about it being dented and scratched based on others reviews but I still risked it because it’s exactly what I was looking for...and purple! When I opened the box (it’s shipped in the manufacturers box), it looked really scratched on the top but it turned out to be clear cling film and the fridge itself was in perfect condition.It keeps my food and drinks a perfect cold temperature and freezes my silicone ice tray beautifully. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Super colour. As other reviewers report, it arrived damaged: big dent on the back corner, scratch on the door. Disappointed.

This little fridge is super cool and an amazing color. It's just sad that the product arrives damaged every time! Either the manufacturers really need to re-think their packaging or it's the fault of the delivery service. My first one arrived so damaged that there was no way I could keep it. My second one arrived damaged as well. This time with a dent & paint chip on the top back edge. I am keeping it as the damage can be hidden and the return is a big hassle but I am definitely not impressed!!!! The damage is really noticeable so I will always have to have the fridge under a desk like it is now.
