Would probably work on a slimmer bike frame
I bought knowing there was a distinct possibility that it wouldn't work with my bike but I had hope. The part of the frame it attaches to is too big for it to wrap around enough to get a secure grip. I even thought to try grip tape, halfway through my ride the grip tape lost its grip. My kids got a little jolt from the drop but seeing as by this point I was confident in it's ability to fail miserably, I was being very slow and cautious. Now that the bad has been said I can honestly say that this is product would probably work just fine on a slimmer frame. One it could completely encompass before tightening the clamp down. For reference my husband and I both have '21 Norco Storm 5 mountain bikes. We just bit the bullet, spent a bit of money to buy a Thule trailer and we also had to order a "thru axle hitch adapter" through the bike shop we bought our bikes from. So if you have a bike with a fat frame, save yourself the hassle and don't buy this.

Lesser of two evils
I purchased this hitch since my original Schwinn trailer hitch doesn't work well with bikes that have quick-release wheels and horizontal drop-outs. When I first attached this new hitch, it didn't seem to fit the narrow chainstays on my roadbike, and there were no instructions.I ended up disassembling the clamp and removing the spring and a couple of washers so that it could clamp tightly enough. It works fine now, but it does require a little muscle to secure to the bike.I recommend protecting your frame with tape or rubber.

seems to be a good replacement!
I was VERY hesitant to purchase this hitch/coupler, especially as it had no reviews. I did not want one that requires a permanent addition to the bike as my trailer is used over at least 4 different bikes. (It is attached to a trailer bike with 20 inch wheels in the picture. The picture also shows the unit it replaced). It is a little longer than I would have preferred, but I do not anticipate that being a major issue. I forecast that this will meet my needs.

Fits poorly. Broke free of bike and left trailer freewheeling towards traffic.
The clamps have a very specific shape. Make sure they fit your bike. I tried fitting it to half a dozen bikes, and it didn't fit any of them properly. Did a few test rides and wound up with the trailer breaking free from the bike and trying to careen into traffic. It might work correctly if you have exactly the right type of chain stay, but I was not able to get it to clamp onto any of our bikes.

Would not recommend
Very pricey and it doesn't necessarily do it's job. I bought it so I can pull the kids on my mountain bike (disc brakes made it so I could not pull the trailer) and it scratched the paint and repeatedly came off. It's junk and the price made me severely regret buying it. Take a look at the pic to see how paper thin the rubber is that is supposed to protect your bike from getting scratched.

Waste of money find a better product
The jaws on this adapter are different sizes. It will not stay locked in place on the frame of your bike no matter how much it is tightened down. Also, due to the movement in the setup, in less than a month (and just a handful of uses), my disc brake has shredded the safety strap in two. Don’t waste your money. I would be returning this if my return window was still open.

Bike trailer hitch is very good but not for all bikes.
The trailer hitch is a nice piece of hardware but I do have an issue with it. When you clamp it on to the bike frame it doesn't stay well. The shape of the bike bracket and the mating end of the hitch are not a good match, a little too much movement. In other words, it doesn't adapt to the shape of the bracket well. It works, but not as well as I would like. The quality of the hitch is very well constructed and easy to install.

Worth the price.
I would have given this fives stars all over, but the rubber coating on the mount wore through on the first ride. The aluminum of the mount proceeded to scratch through my bike frame coating. I would still recommend the product.

Good bike frame attachment
Do not waste money paying extra for faster delivery. Regular delivery was fast enough even in COVID-19 pandemic. Attachment is OK but vise covering will easily tear off. I taped my bike frame to avoid scraping the paint. Vise might loosen during ride and should be checked and tightened when riding for any length of time. Good product. Would buy again if needed.

Poor clamping mechanism
This could have been a great way to attach the trailer to newer mountain bikes but the clamp loosens off very quickly and even detached from a few different bikes a few times! It was not safe for my dog to ride in the trailer for this reason. Wouldn't recommend it.
