Free Form Snip Tips Omega-3 Fish Oil Liquid Supplement for Small Dogs and Cats, 60 Count

Not sure if my rescue beagle Snoop or I love this more! He was very itchy when we brought him home and despite coconut oil in his food and on his skin he could not get any relief. After a trip to the vet once his skin started to get flakey, she gave us this as a prescription (which I paid $35 for at the vet’s office) and told me he Snoop should feel relief in 2-3 weeks. It was about 10 day after that I noticed my puppy was no longer scratching and nipping himself all day and night. This was of course a relief but I didn’t want to pay the vet’s price and Amazon saved the day!! I give Snoop one capsule per day l, with his breakfast. His diet is dry kibble for the most part so I do I twist the top of the capsule to break if and squeeze out the oil onto the kibble. He doesn’t seem to mind that it’s there and always finishes his bowl. I will also note that Snoop has had to eat rice or cottage cheese due to an upset stomach and I add the dose to the those meals as well without any issue or extra duration to his upset stomach. Overall I am please that I can subscribe and save this item for less that 1/3 of the vet’s price and my puppy is happier and healthier for it! FIVE STARS! Also I should mention that the bottle some with simple to read and interpret dose by dog’s weight instructions and the packaging was as expected. My handsome Snoop is now shines!

My one dog has been on these (vet recommended) for almost 3 years. She has a lot of allergies and this was suggested along with other stuff. In that sense it’s hard to know if it helps but I certainly don’t believe it hurts? She has generally red and itchy skin so I don’t think this made it worse. Her hair always looks good though and isn’t generally dry or flaky in that sense. The tabs are easy to open if you don’t give them while. My dog is too small to eat it so we squeeze it into her food. My wife chooses to cut them with a scissor but I twist them by hand. Either way works and isn’t too messy. The smell does stink thought but it’s fish oil so what do you expect?

Our vet specifically recommended this product as a general supplement for my medium sized herding dog. She likes it so much, that I switched from buying the medium/large size to the small size so that I can give it to her twice a day - the dog now insists on having this oil on her food both morning and night. I've noticed that it really seems to help with her dry, allergy-prone skin. Her coat looks healthier, and the vet says that it is good for her digestion and overall health as well. I like these snip tip capsules better than other fish oil products I've purchased that come in a pump bottle that has to be stored in the fridge and goes bad quickly. The only caution with the snip tips is that it's hard not to get the oil on your finger cutting them open (even with twice daily practice for years!), and this stuff definitely has a lingering smell (no wonder the dog loves it) - wash your hands well after using.

An important supplement for my dog. He has CHF. So finding this for his heart health was great. My husband snip/squeez right into his food. We figured, we take fish oil for our heart health... Auggie should too!!!!! He loves it.

Recommended for the dogs by my vet. However, the larger ones from Elanco are no longer available. I got the real small ones which really are a pain in the backside. I found out that Elanco is producing the large ones under Pet Protect. I bought the 250 bottle. Great price.

The quality of fish oil that Elanco produces is the best out there for your dog and I’ve been using the large dog snip tip capsules for years. I switched due to supply chain issues and while the quality is the same, I found that the smaller capsules make it virtually impossible to snip the tip and squeeze out the oil without making a mess and ending up with the majority of the oil on your hand—a problem not occurring with the large dog capsules.

I have been using this product on my dog for almost 3 weeks. I have seen no improvement whatsoever. The cost was high and on top of that I had to pay a large import duty. I would not recommend this product...and would not buy it again.
