A real bargain at the price I paid, only a few minor downsides
Lots of people like this knife and I can see why. Mine came in perfect condition, blade was perfectly centered and plenty sharp. It's just a hair over 2.5 inches, so check your local laws. The oversize brass pivot washers are welcome on such an inexpensive knife. Very smooth opening/closing, although the detent on the liner lock was not expected. A few minor quibbles: The knife feels really sturdy, even overbuilt. Not as light as an all GFN/FRN knife like a Delica. Not sure how useful the caribiner clip is, time will tell. The mechanism does add to the handle thickness. The pocket clip is way bigger than it needs to be, and tells the world you are carrying a knife. Still, it's easily removable. Bottom line: I'll likely get another as a spare, before they go away.

Leatherman quality- Need I say more?
I consider myself a true American, a Vietnam veteran and a patriot. As such I'm extremely passionate regarding American made products - from my motorcycles to my pocket knives. This knife represents yet another excellent American made offering from Leatherman. The C33 Crater is in my opinion the ideal sized pocket knife. Not a lot of seldom used bells and whistles, just pure knife.Closed Length - 3.87".Weight - 2.36 oz.Blade Length - 2.6" from tip to pivot point. The 420-HC blade is razor sharp out of the box, light weight and quick to deploy. The knife locks open via linerlock with no blade play. The pocket clip is removable, but not adjustable; it's mounted for right-hand tip-down carry only. It's held in place with three T-6 screws, and it's polished stainless steel. The carabiner is also a bottle opener. It locks in place and to retract it just push in on it.Perfect size, perfect feel in the hand, perfect price.Leatherman quality- Need I say more?

A great super sharp knife for an everyday use
I love my Leatherman Crater C33-TX so much that I wanted to have another as a backup since they have discontinued it but this Crater C33 Model is the bear bone version of it “without” the tab that acts as a flipper which I really like! I guess C33 and the C33TX are the only ones that has the Tab to flip the blade in addition to thumb opener! Still a great super sharp knife for an everyday use ... fits perfect in your hand; well built, strong, light weight ...

Great knife for everyday carry
I've owned this knife for 2 years now. I carry it everywhere and use it every day, and it looks as good as new. Very light in the pocket... you'll forget it there until you need it. Excellent quality!

Good for the price
I finally got my order for this Leatherman knife, and upon onboxing it, I would say I was a bit disappointed. I own both a Leatherman Wave and Charge TTI, so I had high expectations for this dedicated knife, which probably led to the disappointment. Most of it centers on the blade itself, which is a bit thin for a dedicated knife - in fact, it is exactly as thick as the Wave's blade. The secondary grind is also not as smooth as it could be, and it was actually dull because of a burr on one side - nothing I couldn't fix with a decent sharpener, but something that escaped quality control. I was more put off by the grind, which was not one continous curve but kind of changed angles abruptly at least 2x along its length. I guess this is a Leatherman thing because I checked the S30V blade on the Charge and it does show the same abrupt changes in the line of the grind. Again, this is something that will disappear after a few resharpenings, so no big deal. I am more concerned about the liner lock, though. It's a modified liner lock with a tab partially covering the opening - probably to give a little protection from dirt. It locks up fine right now, but there is no room for wear at all - it moves across the tang's locking surface so much it is actually stopped by the oversized bronze washer on the opposite side of the pivot hole. There's no play right now but again, there's no room for wear. One last issue concerns the grip/handling on the top of the knife. At the point where you would rest your thumb - the site where most other folding knives put jimping, this one is actually painful to hold. There's the open space between the scales on top of the pivot where the inner sides of the scales would actually bite into your thumb if you applied pressure. Again, it's not a backlock, but less sharp inner edges on the scales would have helped. I also think that the knife is unneccesarily wide between the scales - maybe it's for the extra tools of the other models but the washers are a bit too thick. The rest of the knife is excellent - very light because there's only one scale, and a thin one at that; scales are nicely shaped and don't feel cheap; the biner/bottle opener works fine - feels a little flimsy but I'm never going to trust my body weight on it anyway; once sharpened, it holds a wicked edge but with 420hc, it won't hold it for long, although not below expectations. Again, with so may issues, why 4 stars? Regardless of my issues, you're still getting a well known branded knife, with decent steel, and extra features, with good ergonomics, for less than $20. I would say that deserves 4 stars.

Well made for the price, and made in USA
Very well made, like my other Leatherman products. Sharpens easy enough, keeps a decent edge. Not a super premium knife, but didn't cost all that much either. The hidden caribiner/bottle opener is a nice novelty, although I do think it makes the knife just a little thicker than it would be without it. The pocket clip seems sturdy. Not much else to say, it is a sturdy, no nonsense knife, that is well made for the price I paid, and it even said Made In USA on it, which is why I bumped it from my initial 4-4 1/2 star rating to 5.

Great pocket knife
I've been a fan of Leatherman products for years. They stay sharp after many uses. I use mine for everyday carry and use it to cut cardboard, rope and even small woody plants and trees. Just keep ot clean and touch up the blade on a good sharpener when needed. It doesn't take mush to keep the blade sharp. I bought a this knife to replace one that I lost. I recieved my knife quickly and am completely satisfied.
