My son gave me his old phone, and I decided to use it only for and mp3 player and for my fitness tracker app.It was bare bones, so of course I came to Amazon looking for a case.This is an excellent value! I'm kind of blown away at how durable it really is, and don't regret the purchase.This will be synced with a waterproof outdoor speaker. While this is not waterproof, there are rubber plugs in all the right places and so I have no doubt this will be able to take a good splashing.

Let me get this out of the way first: Of COURSE it isn't waterproof! It has HOLES in it, otherwise it would muffle the microphone and speaker, and you wouldn't be able to plug in a charger or earbuds. There's even a BIG hole on the back so it doesn't block the rear camera or the flash. Sheesh! Also, the blue film is not the screen protector. You peel that off.Since Amazon likes to combine reviews for products -- This review is for the Case Tank protector made for the Samsung Galaxy J2 (SM-J260A) series. My mother, my son and I all got this model of phone during a Black Friday sale, and we shopped around for quite awhile before deciding on this particular protector. We each got one, pink for my mother, blue for my son, and black for me, so we could tell the phones apart. We've been using these protectors since December 2019 (it's August 2020 as I write this). We've all dropped our phones enough times for me to be able to say without a doubt, these cases do exactly what they are supposed to do -- protect your phone from being damaged if it falls.Putting your phone inside the case requires a bit of patience, as the case is really not designed to taken apart easily. But that's fine, because you really shouldn't be taking in off and putting it back on a whole lot. If you live in an area that has a lot of dust (as we do), or you have a lot of hairy pets (as we do), you may need to take the screen protector off now and again, to clean dust or pet hair off the screen. This is to be expected, since (as I mention above) there are holes over the mic and the speaker (the speaker hole also extends over the front camera). I've cleaned mine once in the eight months I've been using it, and really, it didn't need it that badly.Okay, YES, it has holes in it. As I mentioned, it has cutouts over the mic, the speaker and front camera, the rear camera and flash, the earbud jack, and the charging port. It also has a hole over the Samsung logo at the bottom front. The cutout over the charging port has a cover, built into the case, to help keep dust or other contaminants out. Therefore, the CASE is not waterproof. What IS waterproof is the BAG it comes in (supposedly), which is reusable, and which I have to inclination to test, since I don't use my phone underwater anyway.The only real issue is with the screen protector. It doesn't quite lay flat against the screen, so interacting with the extreme edges of the screen can be tricky. This wouldn't be an issue, except modern smart phones require all sorts of swiping in from the edges, and a lot of apps like having you swipe from the edge or tap on things at the extreme edge of the screen. It would be a minor complaint, if it wasn't for the fact that the edges need to be as accessible as the rest of the screen, so it's enough to make me take off one star. Otherwise, the screen protector does it job; it protects the screen from scratches (and presumably from breakage). And as I mentioned above (and other reviewers have noted), the screen protector has a blue film that needs to be removed before you snap the protector over your screen.TL;DR: It's sturdy, it doesn't come apart easily, of course it's not waterproof (that should be common sense), and the screen protector protects the screen, but makes it tricky to swipe in from the edge of the screen. Also, the screen protector has a blue film that needs to be removed.

It seems like every case made for the J2 is somewhat flimsy. I was hesitant on purchasing this one because of everyone's negative reviews, especially about the blue screen.I loved the fact that this case was rugged, but hated it for having a built in screen which can easily trap dust and dirt.The case came with a belt clip which I'll never use, but looks like it's made well.The blue screen everyone's complaing about is actually a film on the CLEAR plastic to protect the screen. It's intended to be easily removed people.. duh.If you're like me and rather use a tempered glass screen protector, the plastic one that came with the case CAN BE CAREFULLY REMOVED. Just use slight heat from a hair dryer to soften the adhesive and you're good to go.Your J2 will love you for it.. highly recommend!!

My mother loves her case, she had told me that this case really works. She dropped her phone a few times and no screen breakage, she told me she cant telk there is a protective layer (screen protector) between the screen n her fingers to her its like shes touching the true phones screen. She said it was easy to take apart to put the phone in it and snap it back together. People have asked her where she got the case, when she said "my son ordered it from Amazon" they were shocked.

I love this product & I buy this case every time I get a new phone. The price is affordable & the case is durable. I love that the case comes with a clip stand, which I use every time i go to the gym. I also love how the case has a good grip so it dosent slide out of your hands. Last of all it may not be "water proof" but it is splash proof.

loved that it covers the whole phone..easy to put on but can be a little hard to take off.The only thing I did not like at all..is that the screen protector is blue! makes the screen look blue and hard on the eyes..cut it off and bought a regular screen protector instead

Amazing product. I absolutely love it. I'm very clumsy and drop my phone almost daily but with this case I haven't had any cracks or damage to the phone. My husband has the same case and he dropped his phone and I accidently ran it over with the car. Just a small crack on the corner but still works. I'm not even going to waste my time buying a phone if I don't have this case.

It's an okay case, it just wasn't the case for me. I prefer glass stick on rather than the plastic screen cover they have with this. I'll keep this one as a back up but only as that. Oh well, lesson learned about what I prefer.
