This Curcumin based joint support meets all of my personal criteria for a top notch supplement: 1. NSF Certified company, 2: A 45 year track record (started in 1979) and 3. Trademarked ingredients 4. Standardized concentrations and 5. Specific instructions. Now for the Details: Company Transparency: Allergy Research Group (ARG) has a robust web page with an “About Us” page that states, “In 1979, ARG began with the introduction of buffered vitamin C and a quest to bring truly hypoallergenic, evidence-based supplements to the US market.” Accountability: Allergy Research Group is listed as GMP certified by the NSF (a big deal safety wise). For their website they have a money back guarantee, although I’m not sure if that pertains to Amazon. So they’re both accountable to peers as well as customers. Quality: They Claim that they make “condition-specific formulas developed by a naturopathic physician”. These are 90 vegetarian Capsules with a dose being 3 capsules per day for a month, then 1-2 capsules/day per your health care provider recommendation. The capsules contain a small amount of Magnesium Citrate (20mg), 6 mg of Boron (Per Web MD most adults need 1-1.5 mg per day with an upper limit of 20mg), and the star of the show, 250 mg of CurcuWin, a Trademarked turmeric extract standardized to 20% curcuminoids. Note that another of ARG’s CurcuWin containing supplements is on the ConsumerLab’s “approved” list for Curcumin supplements. I do appreciate that they state on the bottle that higher doses of boron may increase levels of estrogen or testosterone. As always, it’s always a good idea to discuss new supplements with your healthcare provider.

This company has been around since 1979, and on their website they stated they do 3rd party lab testing, Allergen testing, and are NSF compliant. Their name, address & working phone number, (I called it & it's a good #), are clearly listed on the label. So far, I have had no issues taking this supplement. My supplement arrived fresh, shrink wrapped, and safety sealed.

The combination of Boron and Turmeric can be a powerhouse. This supplement contains a full 1 to 3 month supply of good quality ingredients. Capsules are average size and easy to swallow. I would buy again.

This Boron joint Supplement came well-sealed and contained 90 Capsules, with one Serving Size being 1 Capsule. The Capsules are easy to swallow and don’t have any bad Aftertaste. This Supplement contains a good Combination of Ingredients. I’ve been taking it for Shoulder Pain. Overall, I like this Supplement, though it’s a bit pricy.

This is the first time I have ever tried a product from Allergy Research Group. I was quickly impressed with the detailed information printed on the label. The "Suggested Use" section lays out a good dosing schedule along with recommendations regarding taking it with food and water intake. They also note boron's potential to increase testosterone and estrogen which I appreciated, considering how many consumers might not be aware of that. It's well-documented that two of the ingredients, magnesium and boron, have a significant impact on bone health. They rightfully belong in a supplement branded for bone and joint health. With only 20mg of magnesium citrate, however, this is more of a boron product than anything else. But what is CurcuWIN doing in a bone and joint supplement? Considering how inexpensive the other two ingredients are, CurcuWIN is the sole facilitator of the near $40 price tag. That's nearly four times more than the typical boron supplement. Despite how well this brand can do at informing, it's surprising they don't share why CurcuWIN is included in a bone and joint supplement. The only thing they say about CurcuWIN is, "CurcuWIN turmeric extract ensures enhanced bioavailability and retention of curcumin, allowing for effective benefits at a lower dosage compared to other forms of curcumin*" What does that even mean? More importantly, what does that have to do with bone and joint health? CurcuWIN is mentioned in the product's official name "Boron Joint with CurcuWIN." But what purpose does it serve other than driving the price up? Why don't they explain its relevance to bone and joint health? This brand doesn't appear to be one to leave consumers to guess and assume as seen by their detailed labeling. So why should anybody pay four times the price for this product versus any other $10 boron supplement? I can assume after having taken my own time to do my own research into CurcuWIN. I could explain why it's used based on my own findings (and assumptions), but that's me doing their job for them. If they justified the CurcuWIN, then perhaps this could be a 5 out 5. Until then, it's hardly more than an overpriced boron supplement in my eyes.
