Brand new! Works great!
Perfect size, brand new, easy to install. Used it to create different separate folders for Documents, Programs, Downloads, -- Windows OS is on SSD. Helps if hard drive fails - information is secure in new hard drives. Ordered one and then two more because of the low price for (old technology but new devices that work great!).

No complaints at all!
I'm not really looking for much in a hard drive, just that it works, and works well over time. I've purchased this recently, and I'll update as it ages, but it booted up fine, seems to read/write pretty quickly, and can't really complain about anything so far! Update (1/15/2013) Still works well, writes and reads quickly, and has no real issues. Used it for a computer I built for my parents and they have no issues so far.

WD AV-GP 500 GB AV Hard Drive - WD5000AVDS
I rated this as 5 star before, but as it turned out, for some reason other than the drive acting up I decided to use "Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for Windows", and the drive failed with bad sectors. I might say, that it still "appears" to be working fine. It'll be a real hassle, but I've already initiated the RMA for a drive that was delivered and installed just 5 months ago, on Apr 3, 2015. I've NEVER, ever had a Western Digital go belly up at all, let alone one so soon after buying it. Fingers crossed on the new one they're sending.

Works great, runs very quite
Bought to replace faulty drive in our security system DVR. Was a simple install, remove old one, bolt in new one, turn on, that was it. Works great, runs very quite. Save me from having to purchace a new DVR.

Works well, a bit noisy.
The hard drive formatted just fine and is working as it should. However, it is the loudest hard drive I have ever owned. I put it in the DVR of a surveillance system and I can hear the whine from the hard drive 20 feet away (and I have tinnitus). I am happy that is working, not so happy with the noise. I probably will eventually replace it with something that is hopefully quieter.

Vervanging defecte harde schijf.
Gelukkig kon ik deze harde schijf nog terugvinden bij jullie. Zodat ik een zeer oud toestel nog kan gebruiken. De harde schijf werkt perfect en was snel geleverd.

New Hard Drive
The item did arrive on time and I have fitted the new Hard Drive to my Topfield PVR TRF2400. The new Hard Drive was easy to replace and the PVR is again working as it should.
