Love the attachments and the price for this unit
Love the attachments and the price for this unit, however, the extension cable got really hot with no more than 60 second use.

Not the best.
The attachments take time to change & do not change easily. The speed keeps changing without touching the dial. The smaller hand attachment is nice & easy to control.

So far it has proven to be more than adequate. Especially considerisng a very reasonable price.

From intricate jobs like engraving cherry wood to making a custom saw handle
Wow! I've had this rotary for a little over a month and I use it all the time. From intricate jobs like engraving cherry wood to making a custom saw handle. It seems to have plenty of torque to get the job that these things are intended to get done. So far this is my new favorite tool. I can't personal vouch for doing metal engraving or prolonged heavy torque jobs yet. But it seems like it can handle it. Does anyone know if this tool will pair up with a multi speed foot pedal attachment?

Variable speed became dysfunctional on second day of use. On and off switch still works so it still functions without any variation in speed.

If you get anything, just invest in the Dremel.
Got this as a Christmas present last year...and seven months later, it's dead. Conked out while I was trying to cut a simple wood panel. Heck, even when the tool was working, it would overheat on the simplest projects, and the extension refused to function when attached to it.Luckily, I now have an actual Dremel and couldn't be happier. So my advice to you would be to just invest in the Dremel. Better quality and more reliable.

Not good quality.
The only reason I even give this a one out five rating is because of the motor. Motor runs good and strong but the bit is terrible. Will not grip work piece at all because the lock is not strong enough to hold or either it is built to slip under pressure of tightening. Will not hold work piece. Buyer beware, spend money on the dremel.
