Verilux EasyRead Natural Spectrum Illuminated Magnifier, 2.5x to 5x Magnification

Am I really getting so old? Apparently so, because the light on this is dim enough so as to make me want more light, and I've had to resort to the fisheye higher magnification lens when using it. The case and cleaning cloth are pluses, but overall, I'm not finding it to be as useful as I'd expected. Probably just me.

If you use a magnifier to read small print, maps, etc. this model from Verilux is at the top of the heap in terms of visual clarity and lack of distortion. The rimless design, while stylish, does give one pause in terms of durability; however, it also reduces the weight and makes using the glass a more pleasant experience. My only criticism (which I was tempted to knock off a star for) is the minimal light output from the two LED's. Don't get me wrong, the light certainly helps, but it's not as strong as I would have wished and the diodes seem to be aimed outside of the viewing range. Ultimately I added the star back when I discovered they had the common sense to include two AAA batteries..... most of these don't. Also included is a nice storage case and perfunctory polishing cloth. Altogether a nice package.

I must say I'm rather disappointed with this magnifier, which Ipurchased after reading the previous reviews. My magnifier has adistinctive circular wavy warp around the central portion of the lens.Also, contrary to a previous reviewer, no batteries were included, which, to be fair,the box clearly states.

This is a great quality product. I love using mine every day. I use it for reading small print and for making scrap book pages. I use it for so many things even as a flash light. I have vision in half an eye only so this is of vital use for me. I will buy more and place around my home.Light enough for me to carry around, love the zipped cover to protect from scratching and easy to replace the batteries. LOVE it.

I made my 94 year old grandma with macular degeneration very happy when I got her this for her birthday. She likes to have one in the kitchen and one in the living room. It really helps her see.

This product is a pile of garbage. The description claims "dual 2.5x and 5x magnification". The 5x magnification turns out to be a dimple in the unit, about the size of quarter, resulting in a completely useless user experience. The larger 2.5x area is blurry and of low quality. I recommend looking elsewhere for a decent magnifying glass.

I pretty much love anything Verilux makes. I am an older person and frequently need a magnifying glass. I now have two one in each end of my house. I love that it lights up and the price was excellent.

Verilux Easy read magnifier is one of the few in the market which come with illumination light as well as AAA battery. By the way this somes is case fitting cover. Excellent product with great customer service. They have one year warranty , so if you have a issue, the company will replace the unit.
