Philips AZ1837/55 CD Player Boombox Sound Machine AM/FM Radio Stereo Speaker System with USB/AUX

I should have read the reviews before I bought this for my husband because we ran into the same issues as two other reviewers. The first give away this was not meant for sale in the US was the instruction manual was in every other language but English. The second give away was the power cord. It came with an adapter so it could be plugged into US households. And the third give away was that it wouldn't ready any CDs. My husband can read Spanish so he got through enough of the manual, but when it wouldn't read the CDs that's when he knew it was not intended for US sale because CDs are coded differently for different locales.If all you want to do is listen to the radio on this, then it worked fine. This Philips boombox would not play any of my CD's. The instruction manual is completely in Spanish, as is everything on the box. No choice but to return it.

The radio and cd player work well but the usb port stopped working on the third day use.

Out of the box the left speaker did not work,it sounds like crap,DO NOT BUY THIS.

I have had numerous good experiences with inexpensive Philips electronics over the last 20 years. This boombox is appalling: the USB port will not work with iPhones, not even to charge them, much less to play music. It is difficult to get the CD player to play CDs - let me repeat, it is difficult to get the CD player to play CDs - and when it does, the sound is distorted. The interface is hard to understand. A huge disappointment.

It's nice and portable player.
