DJ Ravin returns to head up Buddha Bar 9. The theme this time is the English Springtime, to pave the way for the new Buddha Bar club opening in London later this year. A breathtaking, fresh and sun kissed selection, with surprising titles coming from places like Greece and Eastern European countries and also from Australia.

Love it.
Love it! I only have one other Buddha-bar CD and that is Liberdade (which I also love) and IX is an equally pleasant listen with an eclectic mix of European and Middle-Eastern music - some more upbeat, the rest laid back chillout tracks. In parts it reminded me of Michael Cretu's Enigma, and also the music of Momo's Kemia Bar (One Night At...). If you are familiar with either of these you will definitely enjoy listening to this double CD. My only grumble is the fact that a lot of the tracks tend to end abruptly and dive straight into the next track without a suitable pause. This is probably the fault of my MP3 player rather than a production fault. As I downloaded it straight to my MP3 and don't have a CD, I cannot be certain. The music is still good though.

Disappointing
After Buddha Bar Ocean, which is wonderfully atmospheric, we found this double album quite bland - a real disappointment. The second of the two CDs in the set is better than the first, but overall it's not a thrilling purchase.

Absolutely Fabulous!!!
I have all Buddha Bar CD's and have been Pre-ordering the new ones since the 5th. They have never failed to my expectations. While waiting for the Volume 9, I wondered, "Can it really get better? Can it ever be even better than the previous ones?" The answer is... a big "YES"!!! They are all different, from I to IX, and I enjoy all of them enormously, but this IX is for me the best of all. It's truly amazing that after all these past great compilations they can still produce such sublime new one's with pleasant surprises. BRAVO!!!
