Stanley Proto J704S Black Oxide Adj Wrench, 4"

-1 star for the head being so big, other one was smaller. Had an off brand that I lost at work, bought a us made one to replace it. Fit and finish is great, Will probably replace my other sizes with proto. Knob holds settings well. Very handy use it daily.

It's closer to 11 cm than to 10 cm in length, making it slightly longer than 4 inches. Beak opens to 17.9 mm (0.7''). Action is smooth and precise, adjustable jaw has just the smallest bit of play in it (say 1 mm both ways). Overall nicely cast/machined except for a small asymmetry in the adjustable jaw (see photo). Contrary to the advertized image, the worm screw is black, like the oxide finish handle, and not shiny.

I'm a maintenance mechanic for a bottling company and this wrench is perfect for keeping on my key chain for those times I need to make a quick adjustment but don't want to have to go grab my tool bag. Large enough jaws to get on most hex bolt heads but small enough to keep on a keychain

Head is too big and it is too heavy

I carry this thing everywhere, Its small enough to easily fit in my pocket and can do the little bolts no problem. Its solid, but i wish it was more flush together... still I like it.

This is a super handy little wrench. It is small enough to be unobtrusive when carried but large enough to get the job done. The tolerances of the jaws are tight and the wrench has none of that typical adjustable wrench slop. The jaw will open to easily handle a 5/8 fastener which is larger than most 4" adjustables I have tried. All in all a great addition to any daily carry bag.

Larger than I thought

Wrench received from Toolup is made in Taiwan, not USA as described. Requested return but, Toolup is requiring me to pay return shipping. J'ai commandé un mini outil pour qu'il soit compact.... a ma reception , j'ai été extremement decu !!! La tete et machoires sont aussi grosses que ma clé de 6". Je l'ai comparé avec une autre... elle est obese !!
