DVM 63HD /3PK High Def. Video Cassette [Electronics] [Electronics] [Electronics]

I use these tapes for my wedding video business. Since I changed to this tape I have never had a dropped file of a damages tape. Highly recommend it for business.

No question about it: Sony's DVM63HD is a terrific tape. It is very sharp and the sound quality is superb. The extra 3 minutes help those who videotape concerts and theatrical events. It works great in the low light situations. One problem it does have, however: distribution. It is virtually impossible to find this product outside of the US, except on the internet. And this is a disappointment.

I use this brand for 5 years. Four years ago I had a few problems with two tapes producing masive drop outs.Then I witched to Panasonic and it has never gave any drop outs.Sony however had stronger signal which is impotant in low light settings.So, I swithed back to Sony and use it with my Canon HV-30.Recommend.

I am going to use these casettes on my upcoming trip. I give 5 stars based on the past performance of the same product.

No problems with the quality of the tape or the playback of the tape. The images and audio are top-notch

This was a great deal IF you can get free shipping on it (which I did). The additional shipping costs increase the price per tape. You can find a deal on packs of 5 and it's the same type of tape AND the cost is slightly less per tape. The difference is the service. The Recording Store has ALWAYS come through for me, never a delay, excuse or damaged shipment and when you work on deadlines like we do, that is extremely important. I'd rather pay the slight increase due to shipping rather than mess around with a shipper that has their head up their rear.

Predictable, consistant, performance. They are long lasting, but eventually the time comes to replace, due to drops and gaps that develop over time.

I have used more than 50 of these tapes with no problems. I have tried standard Sony tapes and they work well too. The difference seems to come 5 years later. I have recently backed all my tapes up on to hard disc, not one of these tapes gave any trouble, this was not the case with the standard tapes, I had trouble with 2 out of 60, although I was able to back all 60 up eventually with a loss of about 10 minutes of video. If you are using a good quality HD camcorder, it is worth paying a little extra to preserve those precious memory.
